This is a bug.
I'm not exactly sure how it's happening, but it has to do with how the game adds allies.
You can sometimes double-add allies. Like with the news icon accept first, then menu/add...

I guess there should be a distinction made between the actual game developers and the "upstairs guys" giving orders to them and setting the rules. The latter ones are the ones destroying this game...
