I think this is part of it. Screenshot your stats just after WD ends. The temp boosts are gone and stats drop to normal until prizes are awarded. Gives you better idea of actual gains.

I think changes are good. I just dropped from top 3 to top 250 faction. Basically wasn't going to get anything under old structure. Now, I get a few decent units, so top 250 teams should be pleased....
