I think you may not be able to see the quest because you have not yet unlocked the maps (due to being in a lower level) needed to complete the quest. This is what happened to me in the previous quest...

If the guild guardian goes down in the previous battle, does he/she stay down in the next battle also or is it a fresh start again?
