That's not the issue, this is on the actual battle screen, when you're supposed to select an opponent it just sits with the connecting message spinning

Anbz, I have the exact same issue and have submitted 5 separate tickets that have all been closed with no resolution. It started when I had to contact customer service to have my account reinstated...

Not if the U.S. dollar has increased in value in the international exchanges. Other currencies would become weaker, requiring more of them to purchase the same items as before

Price of gems didn't change here in the U.S. I would guess what you're seeing is apple or google raising the conversion rates to account for changes in currency exchange ratios...

Settings->Game Center, tap on the email that's displayed as your current log in and you will have the option to log out

It's related to the game center link. Log out of game center on whichever device is not properly loading the account and your issue will be solved

Dunno, but buying gems has never required game center before...Game Center account is separate from iTunes account

You have to log out of game center on one of your devices. This happened to me too, I have separate accounts on my phone and my ipad but since it forcibly tied my account one account to my game...

At least you can connect to the arena, lol. Mine just spins and says "connecting" forever and four support tickets over the past month have accomplished exactly nothing in getting it fixed
