If you level up a stonescale plate to level 4 you will only get its normal points in enhacements +3 ( starts at level one and each level gets you one extra point ) this as I can see only benefits...

I usually farm stoneslabs at relic ruins, valor stage and use special on the boss ( always gets you stoneslabs ) Need to kill the boss two times to get enough...
