So my goal is still showing that I need to beat Chief O'Maley 20 times to get the Chief's Cruiser. I am assuming based on the other posts that I will actually receive a gun - is this correct?

Where did you see that at? In the announcement it states that the event ends 9/2 at 11:59 PM.

So has this already started? The announcement said it started 8/24, but I haven't received an in-game popup.

My buildings aren't upgrading 10% faster. Does this not stack on the loaded dice?

It clearly wasn't. Several people in the 100+ level bracket have the gun with a lower IPH than me. No idea what it was based on though.

Took almost a vault of gold for me to get from 8 to 10, but I finally got there.

So what's the final verdict on this? I am at 39k defense and 31k attack and have yet to have any sort of defense or attack goals pop up. I double checked my inventory to make sure I hadn't received...

Ended up with 9 credit cards. Used roughly 500 gold for the guaranteed openings after I had already received 8 using the cash option.

Out of 28 attempts I've only opened 6 ATMs, BUT 5 of those were credit cards.

Out of 23 tries I have had 5 successful openings using only the cash option. All 5 have been a credit card.
