i'm level 143 with 548k/751k. That's about average for my level. I can beat 60% of the people on my rivals list by randomly clicking attack

This is just basically the original prize system (or the normal LTQ you are suggesting is) you get rewards from how many points you score overall. No need to get more of those for doing the same...

This point is very good. I hadnt thought of that as a way to eliminate the weaker players to get a win. Your post points out a good flaw in this idea.
