Server Stability Issue

Greetings Lords and Ladies,

We are aware there has been issues with PVP over the last 24 hours. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
This is due to our web hosting company conducting server maintenance to address security issues, which has impacted the stability of the game in unforeseen ways. We were informed that server maintenance will be impacted until at least January 5, 2018 18:00 PM PST so we expect the game to be unstable until then.

We will try to remove the Conquest of Kings event this weekend, but due to server access instability, it is uncertain if we can remove the event in time. This means we might have to let the scheduled event to continue. We will update you if this is the case and give everyone advanced warning to participate in this event at your own risk. We cannot guarantee how the event will perform or if even any prizes will get paid out.

We expect the issue to get resolved over the weekend and we will work on getting everything straightened out for any events that were negatively impacted as soon we get our access back. Sorry again for the inconvenience. We will keep you updated.

Our development team is still working hard to resolve the server issue but the Conquest of Kings this weekend will still be unstable. We are very sorry for the inconvenience.

It is still most likely that the prizes won’t payout (even if you see the leaderboard) and the upcoming Conquest of Kings event may end abruptly because we are still trying to stop this event.

We do not want you to waste spending any gold and consumables on this event so please DO NOT PARTICIPATE in the event unless you just want to participate for the sake of enjoying it.

We will continue to do our best to resolve this issue as quickly as possible and will keep you updated.

We have confirmed that the Conquest of Kings event Mountain of Blessings will not payout prizes.
Some players will also not receive their prizes for the Lockbox Book of the Damned.
We will prepare compensation packages for the Lockbox event.

Hello all,

Here is the latest status update. As you were aware we ran a test event yesterday and everything seemed to work fine.
However, we are still having intermittent issues with the servers that handle the Leaderboards and matchmaking.

We have two scenarios that can happen. If by this afternoon Berlin time we are able to resolve the server issue, we will have deploy a CoK for this weekend.
If we cannot get the Leaderboards working we will then deploy events that do not have a Leaderboard component so you all can continue playing and progressing your accounts.

We will make another announcement this afternoon informing you of which scenario is going to occur.
We apologize for the inconvenience and please know that the engineers have been working non-stop including the weekend to fix this.

Sorry for the delay but due to the game server instability we have been cautious with deploying content to the game and are actively working on fixes.

For now we will be deploying the bundle below as a test, which will be active for 47 hours.

• Perpetual Bundle: Jan 25 14:00 - Jan 27 13:00 PST

If you find any discrepancies with your bundle purchase, please contact us with your account details and a screenshot of your purchase invoice.
It may take a couple of days but we will make sure everyone receives all their purchases.

We are very sorry to inform you that the CoK scheduled to begin on the 26th of January is cancelled because we are still facing technical difficulties.

Once the appropriate fixes have been implemented, we will first deploy test CoK events before returning to the usual CoK schedule.

We deeply apologize for the recent lack of major events due to technical difficulties. The good news is that we are making progress with fixing the issues.
We will be rolling out test events to make sure everything works so we can return to the normal event schedule as soon as possible.

The first test will be the following 16 hour CoK:

• CoK Fighting The Dreadful Thicket: Feb 4, 9:00AM - Feb 5, 1:00AM PST [Updated]

Since this is a test guild event, there will be a guild-lock so you will not be able to switch guilds during the event duration.

Hi all,

We have made some progress with fixing issues on CoK so we have ran a second test event Crushing the Abyss, which will end on 7th of Feb, 4:00AM PST, to check additional issues and see if our fixes have worked.
Like in the first test CoK, the duration of the event will be 16h and the rewards will not have any bonuses.

We have heard that you would like to hear more details about the issues we are fixing in the test process so the following are the issues that we are focusing on:

Fixed issues for this test:

• Wrong rewards displaying
• Issues with declaring war

Main issues to be confirmed and fixed in the next test iteration:

• Issues with end of event popup
• Players able to declare war during the last hour of the event
• Issues with reward pay out

However, all other bug reports (from any other parts of the event) are highly appreciated as it
would help us fix things so please contact customer support along with your account details.
If possible, please keep a screenshot or a video of the issue as this will greatly help us identifying the problem you are facing.

Since we have resolved the main blocker issues below, we are happy to announce that we will be running a full-length Conquest of Kings this weekend!
There will be rewards with bonuses for the CoK At the Gates of Clearbrook event starting on Feb 9th, 2PM (PST).

Resolved major issues:

• Issues with declaring war
• Leaderboard rewards pay out issues

We will begin testing for Raid Boss and the below will be the first test RB event.
There will be no bonuses on the unit rewards for this test event so please participate at your own risk and avoid wasting your gems.

• 24H TEST Raid Boss Blackened Wrath, Returned: Start Time: 2am PST, Feb 20th. End Time: 2am PST, Feb 21st

RB events usually last 5 days so you should not be able to complete all the goals and guild goals from this test event. This event is just for us to make sure that the RB event works properly in general.

Since you did not get the chance to obtain orbs to summon the boss, we will run a login reward so all players will receive Brown Orbs x500. The duration of the orbs login LTQ will be 23 hrs starting at the same time as RB, and ending 1h before the end of the RB.

First we want to thank you for playing Kingdom Age despite the recent issues with the game. Now that we have begun to bring the regular schedule back, we would like to start rolling out compensation to make up for the issues.

  • Dummy account matching issues. We need an EB prior for the first matching to occur.

This means that the events will run with bonuses on the rewards and we will return to the same event cycle as before the server incident.
