Surge in data usage!

Another $30 in last 2 days in overage charges. 1 acct has 18GB in charges in 20 days. GREE, Tadaaah, Tardivick, Cj54, you MUST give gold for overages, which cost Gree nothing. This is reasonable compromise. I will give you overage notices, and you will give me same quantity of gold. Speak now, or will take up with Apple. I'm faction leader of 58, I can't stop, even though I'm on Wifi w cellular shut off nearly all the time. Soon, has come and gone several times. Soon, was misleading. Gold is fake and free to you. My overage charges are real and US currency. Tylenol poison was the smartest move a company ever made. They did right thing and emerged stronger than before the killer Tylenol because of it. All Japanese management is your problem. They never heard of EXTRA strength Tylenol, have they. It removed pain forever. Google it!

Actually, I am wondering if you are on to something. I play this game 15-30 minutes per day (4-6 entries). I live in Asia. I have stalked this thread for a bit and tried to keep track of my data. I notice no huge data loss. I reset a few days ago and have used data for just under 4 hours (I have three email accounts tied to phone and use gps a lot also). Result is 91.8 meg sent 466meg received. I see no problem. But I am not on a USA carrier. So...

i am with verizon with iphone 4 and i'm usually connected to wifi but even when im not i noticed no huge spike in data usage (yet), but many of my faction members are, its weird but it needs to be fixed

I've tried to track it as well. While I am blowing through data with this app, there is no rhyme or reason as to exactly how much and when. It's not a constant leak; I can be fine using the app for a while with little usage. Then all of a sudden it jumps significantly.

My experience is the same Adm., thankfully most of the time I'm on WiFi

Its can range anywhere from 10-50 mb an opening.........

Well 4.2 didn't fix a ****in thing, I been watching this thread from day one, downloaded the new update yesterday, cleared my data stats and logged on the game, collected buildings and vaulted. 30 seconds at the most, over 10 megs. What the ****, gree. Can some one tell me how to file a complaint with apple? Past two months I went over
my data plan, I even upgraded to a different plan and still had overage charge. For about a year I never exceeded 1gb and I played the game hard on 4g, now all of a sudden 3 or even 4 gb of data isn't enough. This is just bad business on gree's end

1) you are using some sort of software versioning product. do a difference and find out what changed! what did you change? if you can't figure it out, revert to 3 month old code and start over!
2) what is the size of all the "keep adding and removing map characters" data download that you keep sending out? how big are they?
3) please post us an address so players can send you a bill for the crazy data consumption you are incapable of fixing!
4) and if you're getting a kickback from the cell carriers, at least be honest about it. tell us. then rebate some of that in gold!

update not fixed the data issue, several of my ios faction members still have to remain mw less while not on wifi

I have figured out why there is such there is such a huge increase in data transfers. The only way to stop most forms of hacking is for gree to keep all the files on their server. So basically when you log on - all your info - units etc have to be downloaded. Its the best way to keep the game clean - I am pretty sure this is the reason why we are getting this huge data spike.

10 meg per restart I could handle, a gig a day I can't!

I had to take my data plan from 4g, to 10g & now to 15g, just for this game.
PS That data plan is just for when I'm not at home on my unlimited WiFi

Not sayin mine is as bad as others, but when three months ago I played hard and never went over one gig 10 megs to logon and do a few simple tasks is a lot. I didn't try hittin a boss or raiding yet since update, last time it was 50 megs just to raid one base.

Bottom line is it does not matter if I use a few hundred megs a day or someone else uses a gig or two a day, this is just simply uncalled for.

tested out my dataman app, used 5 MB of data in 1 1/2 min; logged on, went to 3 rivals bases, one boss event and checked faction chat.

Same crap here, still using stupid amounts of data just to log in and collect. I'm currently unwilling to play the game until this is corrected. And yes I've updated to 4.2 but I was told that this update only fixed the cement factory error and did not have a fix for the data usage as "gree" are currently looking into the problem and a "fix" will be coming "soon".

I'm confident they already know. It wouldn't be hard to fix if they wanted to fix it. Just like every other issue. We were promised a fix with the new update... promises promises promises... still mean absolutely nothing to you guys I guess. Why would we expect that to change?

i just made the commitment to switch off cellular use to MW. I now have to drive to target during my breaks and lunch hour to use their Wifi, after burning through 5gb in 12 days....enough is enough. and I am always on wifi at the house, so thats 5gb just from 8-5 m-f.

oh, its worth mentioning that Target is only 2 block away, so its not like i'm burning a ton of gas on my motorcycle to get there...figured i would head that one off early.

So...Month and a half now... do you get a prize if you make it to two?

dude! you need to communicate. this was reported well over a month ago, and empty promises of "it's coming" only go so far.

we need something more then empty talk. we need actions! or your billing address, and reimbursement for those players effected.

the honeymoon is over and you are not successfully representing. this thread, and issue, being a huge case in point.

I don't want to have to quit the game because of outrageous data usage. Come on, Gree, make it easier for us to stay. Just this once?
