[Guild Wars iOS] War of the Heavens

@TheWiseOne What do GREE plan to do about the £100's worth of gems bought and wasted due to crashing issues? Is it something GREE is currently working on to refund or another suitable solution?

Come on jonny, now you are just trying to stir up trouble. With almost every accusation of cheating GREE has responded with a strong "Do not post information about a specific player or guild on the forums" or they have let their silence tell us they are working on it so hard they don't have time to respond. 43 hours gone in the 72 hour Guild Wars.

I still can't access the Wars to see what I, as a Sentinel, am even wearing to defend my Guild. Game crashes every time.

I can see from chat and results screens that some Guild Members are fighting away, but as they are not active on thi Forum they appear unaware of the scope of the chaos. We are winning some wars against very small Guilds, but should be winning a lot more if we could all be active.

What Gree should have done, if they cared about customer satisfaction, was cancel the war as soon as it was clear there were problems - within the first hour of the event, sort out the problems, then run the War again after a week or two's delay. They didn't.

Now the War is clearly going to have to run its course and whatever skewed results occur will stand; anything else would be unfair to the people who have been able to take part. Unfortunately this is also unfair to the people who couldn't take part. Whatever rewards I get from this war will have been achieved for no effort on my part.

I'm kind of expecting all new features from Gree to be an initial disaster from here on out, as they clearly can't program for toffee. How these things get passed the rigorous Apple tests is a mystery. Android Players are the lucky ones.

I'm right there with you musketeer ... It's terrible feeling so helpless when u know your guild need you... By the way u can change your war equipped armors in the arena screen

This is just awful. It's nearly half over and only one person in our guild can get in without crashing. It was working somewhat last night but seems to have seriously regressed.

I like that the Wise One is giving us regular updates so that we know the steps that gree is taking to fix this problem and how much longer we can expect these problems to continue /sarcasm

Yeah, guess I might not even be in my guild now after all this......

at this point if I could just get in long enough to drop the gems I bought for this event I would be happy I have great guildmates holding it down but at this point the torturous act of trying to get in to no avail constantly has wore me down.the true definition of insanity.thank you guild members keep up the good fight.

They don't. The client is validated by Apple, but the game is a JAR or LUA or whatever the kids do these days inside.

Okay, now that the war is 2/3 over, on this battle I can FINALLY play.

EXCEPT... half the time when I attack, the game crashes in the middle of the attack. It drains my energy and gives me zero points. Energy I PAID GEMS FOR, mind you. Screw this stupid game. Why should I keep playing something that is now ZERO fun, 100% frustration and torture, and throwing $$$ down the drain now to boot????

Like most I can get to guild wars as long as there is not a battle going on. The Guild Wars/Previous Battle and Guild/Members continue to dump my game.

AGAIN! Fighting someone or a guardian and it crashes in the middle of the fight! Causing me not to get points! PLEASE FIX!

Yet again vs RR, rainbow party, they sure take out the fun of GWs, anyone not willing to spend gems non stop for 60mins might as well do smtg else for 60mins till theyre done, its a shame

There was an additional fix pushed out late last night to help with mitigating more crashes. At this point, we're still following numerous leads and working to continually address this.

Ooh, can I chime in... CRASH! Got into Guild Wars for first time today after about 30 tries since this morning. I started attack on the Guardian, got 4 hits into it and CRASH! Can't get back in.

Anytime you want to stop this crap or maybe fix it Gree, I'm sure we'd all appreciate it! I'm glad this was such a fair weekend of War. Again, it should have been shut down less than 1 hour after it started when getting flooded with complaints of it not working! That would have also stopped the forum wars, people losing unnecessary gems, time, epic boss fights, arena fights, etc etc etc etc. BUT, that would have been the WISE [One] thing to do.

Other thing I notice is after each crash, the number of friends waiting to be accepted is less than before. It started out at 41 yesterday, now it's down to 9. I haven't accepted anyone in the last 24 hours.

Thanks Baobaoboo and everyone else who answered. I've made a slight change to my team as a consequence, not that it probably matters at this stage. 50 hours gone, and still unable to access the War without crashing.

I'd have been perfectly happy to run a 'Phony War' to test the system before it went fully live, which was clearly required. Maybe next time Gree roll out some new feature it'll get thoroughly tested beforehand.

I think this guild war needs only a fix on the loadings,because pn 3gs and ipad 1 is 100% crash. Everything works fine on ipad2,3,mini,4, and on iphones 4 and higher.
Ecept that, i like the wars mechanic, the energy things, the guardians and even the rewards. Keep it as is it, and dont make some unexpected changes. Does someone know what is the frequence of the wars? Because i cant keep up whit wars on the weekends. Would be good a seven day pause and three day pause, to not overload me and my guildies. Three wars a month whould be fine.

Someone posted earlier in the thread that the game is crashing on their iPad mini.

I'm on iPod Touch, latest generation and most up-to-date operating system, but War still crashes.

Same. Ipod Touch latest generation user also. Though I keep fearing this game will slowly became an Iphone 4s/5+ system requirments or higher type of game. I hope they actually fix the GW and the guilds to a point of it being playable on lower systems too

i dont tested ipods, sorry. All the devices i could i did. Actually on mini is even faster then the iphones ones. Only ipad 4 beat him up in speed. Maybe is a trouble in the os, because the all are keep at ios 6.1.2 for... Ahem.... Prison escape troubles.

We have tested this and it definitely is guild size related. We were all able to get in when fighting a very small guild. Any large guild 20 people or more crashes 30/40 of us at least. Hope it is resolved before war ends. I would like to fight in more than one battle.

I agree. I don't play the other games, so I could care less what those forums say.

I think goes for anyone naming names or repeatedly claiming the presence of cheaters/glitchers/hackers. It is unnecessary and counter productive. And if people really disagree with this, why not just make a separate forum for "outing" cheaters and bashing guilds and name calling based on people's assumptions.

This was true for our guild as well. More members were able to join in during wars against small guilds.

Yea. I've also mentioned a ton of times that the crashes are guild size related. I can't click on the ;''members'' tab in my full guild, but I could with a guild that was about half full. Member loading all the players. (This was before guild wars even)

So yea its def. size related. Hope it gets fixed soon :(

I'm confirming this as well :(

Sometimes, I crash 100% of the time when I use the fast forward arrow in guild war (but nowhere else). I think it is related to the animated background as other fields don't have one (and it does a weird skip right before crash)

I also crash in first battles in a guild war; if I come back in and do more battles, I'm fine for that war.

"Sometimes 100%" sigh... Phone typing results in two thoughts crossing wires. Doh.

its a bit buggy for me to, some crashes and sometimes i cant scroll to the bottom of the list of member to attack them. Im just telling my self that this is the first guild war ever so it can only get better :)

Its great for farming boost armors if your a small guild.

I was having a hard time trying to connect to the guild wars because of my bad internet and then when i managed to access it i saw a debug button with a lock on it. I dunno what was up but i exited the game and it disappeared. Anyone know why it appeared there and why?
