Tried this successfully with an old iPod touch.... Deleted the app from ipad, restarted device, installed again and, after loading new data (which did take a while, around 4-4 minutes), game launched. Historic notifications popped and everything was as it was.

Not feeling brave enough to do my main but one of my minis is back...

BACK YOUR device up first just in case.....

I did the sync through my PC and iTunes. Don't know if that made any difference. I am also on 150mb fibre internet connection.... There seems to be no pattern unless specific users accounts or regions have an affinity with specific servers and that's why certain people can get back in, because the issue is server side not client side, and has not been fixed on all servers.

I, like you was another frustrated MODERN WAR player after I foolishly downloaded the new update to my iPhone. I haven't been able to log on for a while now (lost track of the days). I am a 13bil attack player so you know I've put a lot of time and effort into this game (and money… dumb me I know ha). What i wanted to tell you guys is that the solution listed above actually worked for me. I feel terrible for the MODERN WAR COMMUNITY that this has happened. Factions have falled apart, stats have been lost, people have been booted due to "lack of participation" etc etc the list goes on… so this is how it works…

*NOTE* The only reason I was able to do this is because I have a mini account running on my iPad that still had the 4.4 modern war version installed (never did the update), or if a faction mate or modern war buddy you know has the 4.4 version you can do this. Also, I am not tech savvy at all and my description is going to be a little vague. If you check out the link above the person who wrote it does a better explanation but here's how I did it...

What I did was plug my iPad into my computer and opened itunes. I backed up my ipad (again with the 4.4 version) to MY COMPUTER, not to the cloud. "Ejected" my ipad from my computer then plugged in my iPhone. I deleted the bugged modern war app from my phone by holding down on the screen until the icons wobbled, and clicked the "x" to delete the app. I then went in to itunes making sure it didn't auto sync when I plugged it in and clicked on the apps icon. I then dragged the modern war app (that is the 4.4 version due to backing up my ipad) over onto my phone. Once that happened my phone auto synced with iTunes (you may have to do it manually) and BAM… 4.4 version is now on my phone and running smoothly, no glitches, no black screens, no shutting off… finally back into the game.

I wouldn't have typed this if it didn't work and wouldn't blow smoke up your you know whats… even if this can help out a couple people I feel a little better. I'm sorry all you guys are going through this catastrophe, but hopefully this can get some of you back on!!!

Had forgotten that I had iTunes on my computer at work, pulled it up and do have the app, version 4.2.3. So I'm hesitant!

Are the compensation energy packs going to be disappearing like the energy packs your servers stole from me yesterday? Probably a good idea to wait till all the crap is fixed before handing out the compensation.

I see the Raid Boss is up but there is no way of summoning bosses. Is this intentional or another bug?

Haha this is so funny they screwed up the boss event aswell.

I tried restoring that old update iTunes just won't let me keeps saying i Need to Authorise the computer, but it's authorised...

Man............
