No, that's the name of the faction! My game had some issues when this event first started. I must have created 3 factions before this one that stuck. Oh well, the name doesn't change what the faction does...
I've already purchased the first upgrade myself, +5% building defense. Get in on the ground level! No requirements. No random kicks (I've experienced that myself, it sucks). Have fun. Play. Donate occasionally. That's all that's required. The bonuses apply to everyone.
