I believe too that it is a small group that made this decision - NOT the entire staff at Gree.
Personally, I would not employ them in my company. They would not have the requisite smarts required to work with, for or on behalf of other people in a sensitive, considered way.
So what is this small band of small-minded decision makers at Gree saying?!
1. "We're Fire Starters"
We suffer from a mild inferiority complex in real life. Knowing full well that it is beyond your control to change our decision is empowering to us. Sitting back and knowing there will be a reaction from you not only offers slight titillation.. but further strengthens our sense of control over you.
2. "Blame Yourself Not Us"
Vengeance is sweet. Several players complained about the Android issues (you're always complaining about something). It's been kinda fun to do something that we knew none of you wanted but which we could easily shroud in the message that it's something that we thought you Really DID want...l!!! Yeh - it serves you right. Don't mess with us as we can be really vindictive... but we're smart and clever enough to vindicate our vindictive action. We gave you what you wanted right?... nah - we gave you what we think you deserve.
3. "Do we Really Care?"
Nah - not really. We're not all that happy in our jobs, salaries aren't fantastic and life here can get tedious as well as stressful. To be honest - we get it in the neck from both sides... our management for constantly pushing us to do more with limited resources... and an audiences that never seems to do anything other than complain. Yes, we know our platform isn't very good, we know our company is flailing and failing... it doesn't make us feel good, it isn't fulfilling, there's no long-term prospects... It's just a job... we're unimportant... so it's important for us to tell ourselves that you're even less so.
4. "We're here to make a statement!"
We're not just kids… we're WHIZZ-kids! We're maturer than what you think, we have better personalities than what our boring jobs suggest, we think faster and deeper than you do, we're wittier than you, we have the power to switch off your light at any time, we can choose as to whether to ignore you… you pay money, your money pays us… !
