got 8 with cash only...pretty surprised how things are rolling for me as I thought that I'd go for 6-7 MAX as those items are way more powerful as "collect 10" usual items ! Could be lucky enough to reach 10 with ingame cash ! I'd be surprised though as I know that it's more though to go from 9th to 10th than 0 to 9th item...
After you get 8, it seems like the success rate for paintings plummets like crazy... I haven't gotten a painting in the last 12 opens or so with cash.
Normally i would agree and think that is true for most. However i have been extremely lucky the last 2 events. I have gotten the ninth and tenth part within five openings after getting the eighth. I'm hoping for similar experience this time. If I get so lucky again, I will be posting a pic of my new discreet getaway car within the next 5 hours. :)Quote:

I have 6/10 on my main account with intention of spending up to 90 on gold opens if I make it to 8 on cash (Accidentally advanced timer once, so it'd put me over 100 for the gold bonus item)
I have 8/10 on my second account, if I make it to 10/10 with only cash opens then I may switch devices and purchase Goodfella status for that account instead. It is catching up to my main account anyway--they are in the same tier: LV86 v LV99. I still wonder if the level at the start of the event is factored into the success rate?
used gold to open 2 per hour, got 10th piece and prize after 25 hours and 1000 gold.
stuck with 9th...could be like that for a few days...I've opened with gold since 8th and did 5-6 resets (frustration after stupid 10k$). I'll stay cool and open hourly, 10th item will eventually show up
