Sentence construction and how the writer phrases things is usually a good pointer as to whether the person is a native speaker or not. Although the OP says he lives in the same country as me I'd bet he wasn't born here. There's free movement of people's across the EU. :)

Race does not mean country of origin or language preference. I suppose it's par for the course that the people most likely to toss around accusations of racism are the ones least likely to know what it means.
