Warhead Event - Stresses and Successes

Unless you have a really low ally count it really isn't all that bad, since you can just delete some random.. But I do understand the frustration with getting a grunt in the box. Only seen one person who liked them so far and that's now WP just because there is no in game sort feature or search for allies.. So it makes it easier for him to find rl allies from the forums. But they are just a waste to me and a lot of others. We really need the option to delete them..

As far as the devs go... I'm sure they play their own game.. I mean who wouldn't play their own creation.. And we are just as much geeks as they are :)

Well, that is my point if the devs actually played the game, they would know that rewarding someone with a grunt in most instances is a punishment, not a reward. The fact that someone actually thinks a grunt is a reward for opening a case tells me that individual has never play MW. It would be better to have rewarded me with nothing ....

My second complaint is this: If you want to become cannon fodder in this game follow the goals set out by MW. Those goals will set you up to fail.

Like I said, it seems like the devs have never played this game. I don't think some of them actually understand how this game works.

The only thing that has helped me is this forum....

Mad every game has its evolution - I think the ideas of goals/quests were sound, but they were fine tuning the balance. Thats why they have 3 games, which I think, have different balances in the various areas. They are seeing what works and what doesn't work.

I think they know these issues. THe value of each type of goal/quest/strategy is in the eye of the beholder - some people value each area differently depending their objective (e.g., valor, income, etc, strength to level).

Don't know the cost benefit analysis, however I know of one chap who spent 3,000 gold trying to get the last item....and failed. Odds may have changed this time, it's harder now to get parts it seems early, maybe it'll be easier to get ten if you've got nine now... If you're at 7-8 I'd say forget it and save your gold for a composites factory or something useful like units or crates

I've been silently reading through these forums for a while, and now I thought I should register and comment on my experience with this event. I've been playing mw for about a couple of weeks now, and when the last event happened I was completely clueless as to what was going on. This event - slightly different :)

I've got 16 boxes and here are my stats:

9 Warheads so far - Loving the units
2 100 valor boxes
2 explosives experts
1 300k box
Either 3 or 4 Better blah blah blah
Got 13 boxes from PvE, 3 from PvP
All cash opens
2 boxes left to open! Wish me luck, I want that jet by tonight :D

This event has been a godsend for me to be honest. I just reached level 26 and I was pretty clueless about what direction to follow. This gives me some leeway to improve my economy and play PvP at the same time(non-gold unfortunately).

Thanks :) I was getting a little disillusioned with MW after the first week of playing when I saw other players comparatively far better stats. This event is probably gonna result in me being hooked on this game for a while!

Well true to form, Ive already got 6 in the first day or two of the event.

100k, six cases and the units that go along as well as 5 or so misses.

Im expecting the success to end soon here.

I'm having a bad day today, 6th warhead in the morning and then two Drone Tanks and two Armed Lookouts and 8 "sorrys". :/ Well, tomorrow's new day and new boxes. :) (Currently have 20 unopened.)

5 - 500 Valor
1 - Riot Busters
1 - Squadron Leaders
1 - Armed Lookouts
3 - $1.25 million
3 - Drone Tanks

15 - unopened

Day 1 I had good luck, got 5 warheads, a couple of units, $300K and only a couple of "Sorry's"...
