There are people with over 100 necklaces. There's no way they aren't hackers. No freakin way.
The game's designed for you to spend real $. That's how they pay their salaries and profits to the "Man". If you use gold to reload and gold for a successful open you get results. While there is substantial debate as to the first 24 hours is the best time to use gold, the folks on the winner board, practice the 24 hr spend gold like crazy. They are not hackers. You just don't get the idea that for some people they are willing to pay money to succeed in game.
go back and read history in forum. Gree/Funzio will not make a freeloader version and a paying version. They will entice you as all good marketing companies do to go from free to pay. Folks like you stick around and play free or they disappear. Gree don't care my friend. Nor do many forum members that stick around.
If you don't like it and think you're going to be a pin cushion for those at your level that are going to pound you with what they buy/win....try another game or deal with it. You've been at this game for almost a year by your postings....so you must know the score. Between wanting a greener landscape and railing against reality you need to find a new game or deal with the real world of CC and Gree.
Were talking tons of money to be able to already have 100 necklaces. And there are people who do this for every event? I question the sanity of anyone who spends that much money on an iPhone game.
It's not a matter of freeloading. Even if you spend a reasonable amount of money you have no chance to compete.
Yes dude there are quite a few threads from incredulous folks like you. Two things: People with cash to burn spend it on plenty of things others think are crazy or can't afford. Too many threads to count about how crazy it is to spend on pixels or 0s and 1s with comeback others spend on things other think are crazy. Both sides are right.
Go back to some threads to see how you get Gree's gold discount. Yes quite a few folks spend serious bucks on thousands of gold per month. Look at ITune's list of most profitable games: CC and MW are in Top 100 and even in Top 25 at times.
You're wrong about a 'reasonable' amount of real $ not being able to compete. You need to spend it on most effective return: Gold for certain cash bldgs using the spreadsheets some forum members created and contributed to figure out which are best. Certain events like bullet and map combo events are guaranteed 'wins' for gold you spend and not random wins. Used to hate those events until I realize they are best event...but rarely held since I've been playing.
You can do respectable with not much gold spend. My guess is that your strategy to this game is also the reason you are on the short end of stick.
Its all about luck and if its your time.there are numerous players that never spend gold but can beat out the big gold spenders on lots of events.have tried both sides.sometimes you win sometimes you lose.
Just one question if has not been asked yet...Is that dog a vehicle or a melee weapon? Don't tell me it's an explosive...
Yeah, had the same thought about what category...especially after CJ admitted that only history knows why Despoilers and wrist slicers are Armor and not Melee.
I'm going to guess the muttski is Armor or Melee. The dog either protects you or attacks for you so when one of the Top "Dogs" gets the weapon please let us know what category it is.

Thanks a lot for the info. I have to say at least it looks much better than the 5 and 2% drop rates for the last items in the previous count-to-ten event, it's just you need so many opens. I'm at five necklaces now, so dividing by two for a "medium" cash open it seems like conservatively it'd take 25-30 tries more to get to 10. Thereafter 30-35 tries more gets to 15 and again to twenty.
I can see why cash hardly ever gets to 20, lol. You'd have to be waking up in the middle of the night every hour every day for four days, and you might still get unlucky. Even 15 means once every waking hour basically. Ah well, ten again it is.

Got the fifth one today after 4 yesterday. But really all BLNTs otherwise. Not a promising event.
Wow still stuck at four...Have had a few opens of 50K cash and items but necklaces are hard to come by.

Managed to get the 5th necklace. Will try to go for 10 but it's unlikely.

Although technically you could call any event where the %'s are set by the company running it "rigged", that really doesn't mean anything.
The opening rate is the only unknown variable. As far as we are concerned everything is done by a random generator, but the odds to get necklaces are available to us.
I estimate the opening rate for "fair chance" to be around 40% - 45%
Here is a simulation that used an open rate of 40% and a player with level 168
You can see that there's a lot more fails that successes, but during that time you have much better odds of getting the items than in a collect 10 event. You don't need as many opens to get to the 20th item. That's an open rate of 30%, and even then it only takes about a week. That's only 3 days of overtime. You wouldn't even miss the next event. First try I got a necklace, and now 11!! trys with Money and i dont get anything :((
Finally got to 10 necklaces and the explosive. Time to bail out I think.

Stuck on 6 necklaces...all cash opens...going for 10. One thing that I hate is spending 19k to open the box and winning 10k. Gree should update their prizes, make it worthwhile to open them.
