2 accounts for your consideration. Was happy as a 2man guild until all the guild goals/quests were introduced. No longer a preferred option, since most of the goals/quests seem to be designed for guilds w/ 15 or members or more.
I'm a usually a daily player. Sometimes miss a few days due to work or real life but still pretty active overall. I don't use gems unless Gree gives 'em out for free, but I did make one gem purchase on principle, since I do enjoy the game and the devs deserve at least a little compensation for their product.
Looking a guild that won't require me to monitor chat all day, or install a 3rd party app. I don't want a part time job, I just want to enjoy the game on my own time in my own way while also helping the group (and myself of course) so we can all benefit. Fed up of being one of the only members of your team playing the game and making the effort during wars/events?? We are scoobiedoo a top 300 guild for all but the first war. our aim is to rank as high as possible whilst having fun and a bit of banter on the forum, we support and pass advise on from player to player. we have just had a major clear out, getting rid of 10 inactive members, we have replaced 5 of those with strong participating players and are now looking to fill the final 5 spots.

we have 30.5mil in the bank and are saving for next health regen at 60million, we will have this by next war as we have done about 35-40mil in donations over the last week.
who we want?
players of any level, so long as you are happy to contribute in all guild events, we are preferably looking for player who are at least 3k x their level in stats, but we can work around that if you are close.
players who are happy to contribute at least 5 x iph per day, this we feel is the fairest way for all members, as it doesnt alienate the low iph earners.
no pressure to use or spend gems within the guild, we have a few light users, a few medium users and a few heavy users, id say the majority are free players. the aim at the moment for each player is to try and score at least 10k in wars.

Diandy, We have one spot open in my guild. We're new but we're strong. Just a group of active players who got tired of being jerked around by our previous guilds. I know there are lots of guilds who will be trying to recruit you & they'll have a few more bonuses so I won't blame you if you join one of them but please know ou're more than welcome to join us. I can log in once an hour momentarily all day every day, but can't be super active in chat. I have 49 individual bonuses, made 30k pts this past war. I nail LTQs and I hit every hour for weekend wars except for sleeping hours and other blocks while busy or out of range. I have halted leveling and am building army.
My guild has gone top 25 and they continue with that so I can't keep up. They also, through a snafu, consolidated on Palringo from LINE. I'm trying to avoid Kik, Palringo, Groupme because they all suck :P LINE is the best.

I'm looking for a fun guild that knows how to be serious when required. I am selective about xp but 40k+ cp per std war is not a problem. T50 or better who does NOT use groupme (I'd rather gouge my own eyes out than use that pos). I complete all boss events assuming the xp ratio is correct. I do ltqs lightly due to high xp per gain.
