With energy refills costung 20% less, the cost is effectively the same for people who buy gold. Will just require more tapping to get the same cost. For those whouse free gold this is a great deal. They will get more refills

It is far from the same as many buy gold for more than just wars and each player only gets 30 of the 20%off health packs. After those are gone your paying full price

There is normally a 96 hour 20% off sale that coincides with the 73 hour wars. Stock up, it's not like there's no opportunity to get gold on sale. Gree is at least being cool enough to discount (up to 30) health refills. If you get all 30 it amounts to 6 free refills compared to regular price, and 6 refills used properly can add up to almost 10k ip. 10k free IP for taking full advantage of the health refill discount is nothing at which to turn up your nose. Or however that saying goes.

Not so...discount is equivalent to buying a bank. Since many top 100s buy vaults effectively paying list price for anything over a bank. Cute on Gree's part. They book sales at full retail price.

Looks like any gold bought during SA wasn't used much, the SLTQ was a joke, so they want you to spend down your inventory so you can buy more for 3 day war. Need 3Q sales boost!

The way I buy gold is different then a lot of people, I budget in what I can afford and only buy during the sale during 3 day war. That gold has to last me until the next 3 day war. So, getting to refill energy for less gold that I bought on sale in the first place is a bonus

No. It clearly said up to 30. After you buy all 30, you pay regular price.
