I think Gree needs to explain the logic (or lack of!) of calculating wd points..

I am lvl 148, around 132m attack, defeated lvl 266 with around 108m defence..

So.. I get 8,785 battle points.. and... 211 wd points!!

wtf.. ive had better wd points for taking!

In fact my mini has had more points for defeating lower levels with lower stats than it.

So where in the hell does it come up with the points? throws a random number out? seems that way.

Rant over..

There ain't no logic to it mate. Just like there ain't no skills required, other than to ACQUIRE the AMARILLO stuff.

There is strong logic: low level players take small WD points like 300th level players from SUP and other top faction when they attack low level players.

there cannot be any logic to it anymore. Level 300 vs. 300 1.6B attack vs. 1.3 Billion Defense and points ranged from 180-325

330WD is highest I've got as a L300 in the past dozen wars. 326 tends to be my max each war with odd one here and there giving 330.

gree turned the points down this weekend i noticed. i wonder if that gets them more gold like they hope? i would think higher points would encourage people to spend more gold. why would you waste a refill only to get 1k points?

Because the point spread between teams is smaller, therefore 'pushing' members to garranty victory, and spend more.

I think some form of clarification on what max points are and best way to achieve them is in order. I tried many different combinations and none proved to be better. I even hit someone 45 levels lower and got around the same garbage points.

Highest I've gotten is 392 WD. A faction mate got 396.

203-386 were my swings

Instead of points, why not just award wins?
Why not use wins?
After all, isn't that how the special trinket for 1500 wins is determined?
Why yes, it certainly is, isn't it?
If wins are used, points won't matter.

There is about a 200 point swing for each character you attack. You could be really unlucky and get the low end quite often against a particular character. My max this past war was 396, which is a few more than for the previous few wars. My level was 231 & I think I was attacking a level 296 or so.
There is no correlation between WDPs & BPs. Your BPs will b nearly constant against a particular character with a point, unless units are lost gained or boost buildings are destroyed or rebuilt.

They know very well most factions require points minimum. To achieve that with reduced points means players need more taps = more gold = higher profit. Dishonest? You bet. A lot of factions decreased their we'd pts requirements, and a lot, especially within top 10-25 didn't. Players need more gold to accomplish requirements...
