How often does a 6x or a 7x chest appear in the game?

Has anybody ever got a plus version epic from a chest?

I would say roughly about every 5th-10th chest will be a 6x. I have seen others get + versions, but not me personally.

The multiplier is a gimmick. It doesn't matter if it's 4x or 6x because the base odds are so low that it would take 20x to make them significantly better.

Why not? It's not uncommon for a 6x chest to be 1.5 times as expensive as the 4x one.
In which case the 4x one is the better choice, since you get more bonus boost armors per gem then.

I use gems on a 4x chest....
and all the 6 epics ive got, are exactly from 4x chests.
not a single epic, and ONLY one legendary ive gotten from 6x chests.
sooo..... why not i ask? :)

From my first two 40x chest openings, I received one epic and one epic+ each (Maelstrom+ and Moontide+). I opened 10+ 40x chests after that with no other epic+ until the recent arcane chest where I got a Ravage+.

I remember redeye the original sentinel from The rainbow room had all the epic +. he would buy until he got it. He spent a fortune though. If i remember correctly, on average it would usually take him 3 sets of 40 chest to get it. so 1/120 chest to get an epic+ (very rough estimate)

And he was a confirmed cheat. Many of the rainbow room's early wins are 'tainted' because of various cheats. Fact.

I agree the were some people who did questionable things, but i'm pretty sure redeye left the game on his own. Others were banned, but most did not cheated.

@Rookeye: names will get you no where; most are long gone. If you want details just search the archived forums for "banned" or "caught cheating", there is no shortage of bedside reading on the subject. Rule of thumb; if you find a glitch and exploit it to your advantage you might have to live with the consequence of your actions.
