False advertising: Event Jungle Runes

The wrapper prize for the jungle runes quest shows as a 2% alliance attack bonus.

If we could get a straight answer on wether or not this deception was intentional and if it will be fixed that would be excellent.

We need to get this clarified before any of us spend gems on a near worthless boost. I've been playing this game for over 2 years, and a boost for one war is not something I'm interested in. Especially when it's a suprise like this.

A lot of people keep spending on gems, then ask for a refund from apple, and then continue this cycle.
Lots of players in the higher ranks just use this method and haven't bought any with new money for a long time.

Agreed. How can anyone honestly be taken by surprise when problems occur which result in additional gems being needed. As long as people keep spending hundreds/thousands of dollars, there is no incentive for GREE to do anything different.

Just read through the all the posts and I don't see anywhere where people are surprised. Most are just pointing out just another screwup on grees part. I do think they will correct this and make it the permeant boost originally advertised. I do see players complaining they spent gems to get one thing and got another but no one seems surprised.

It doesn't surprise me. People go out every weekend get drunk(spend hundreds doing so), then get tossed in jail for their behaviour. Then do it again next weekend..so whys it so surprising people spend cash on this game? (This was just a example of how people toss money down the drain)

I know you might not like the response Tadaaah has given but as long as I have been active in this game he has shown more willingness to listen and work with us than previous Mods. There were some decent ones before but Tadaaah has shown me anyways a willingness to take our feedback and try and get the changes we suggest.

It's completely up to you though, if you want to give up with this one response then go ahead. I just don't understand how you lasted in the game so long when we got this response a year ago and knew nothing would change. At least now Tadaaah has shown a willingness to get things actually changed.

I'm going to take a shot in the dark and say that's probably not the answer people were hoping fair. At this point, with how long folks have waited without info, perhaps word should be passed to the devs about how unhappy players are about that, and how unfair it is.

I honestly don't think the devs understand we like to be rewarded for playing. Give us a fun quest, have it be doable for the average player, and give out a nice reward. That's what keeps people coming back to play. Something really needs to be done about player/programmer communication. Please.

Even if iTunes/Apple won't refund since iTunes said 'buy gems at your own risk' after the hacker war, players should still send in a complaint to iTunes/Apple.

GREE has to follow Apple's ToS, too, and these false advertisings and bait-and-switchs are not right.
These have become a habit, not a mistake, for GREE.

Too little too late for that. When you have RK, FUN and SB players that stats are 300 plus million while others in the top 25 haven't crossed 200 million and lower than top 100 haven't even seen 100 million, there is no way to actually balance this game anymore.

This game is beyond balance. So you have to find something that makes you enjoy playing it on your own because unless you do or did belong to a top guild you aren't ever seeing a competitive balance.

That's all right. I also chose not to complete it because of the possible time restriction, but I'm happy that the people who took a chance and went all the way with it are getting a nice reward. They deserve it, I wouldn't begrudge them a nice bonus. Gree ended up in a position here that was lose/lose for them and chose the route that gave some players a reward. I'll be the first one to call Gree out when they do something wrong, but this was the right decision to make in the end.

It was just a thought/guess on why they might do that, mute now since they are working on making it permanent.
And you are right, it was visible in the last war, it's now tiered, top 100 battling mostly amongst themselves and can only guess on the lower rank guilds as I am in the top 50.

This is why i only get on every few days, i just hit 20 Mill !!, when i left i was close to top 150 now i dont care i do the quests when i can but its no biggy!, i have stopped all funds in this game , so from $700 a month to Zero, can i be competative NO, not even close, but i play when i want and do quests when i want, i dont have to log on every hour of every day, the Data excess made sure of my gaming play, am i happy YES, do i need to be 300 Mill no not really
This event is only to sway the big spenders , not me anymore, Tadaah has stated the obvivious about 2 more quests but we all knew things go bad for nearly ALL Events !
i thinks its more than just the game.....i think players are still here to be the First to Find the Issue with the next event...not that there should be any issues...then again ...Bring on the next event !
Maybe Gree should offer Gems to who ever finds the issue with a 50-100 Gem reward !

Totally agree. Competitive balance is a pipe dream. The Top 3 guilds are out of reach. I was recently raided by a player with attack stats above 1.5 billion. No way to compete with, or ever hope for competitive balance. That's the state of the game these days.
