$1 says that there is going to be another 'display glitch' that causes stats to be +100% Beast A & D. Just a hazardous guess on my part.

I can't see the building quest. Do I have to complete the GLTQ before the quest appears?

No it should just appear. Sounds like you're having trouble getting your device to load the data, I'd suggest multiple close and opens and turning your device on and off but that hasn't worked on my iPad yet..

Can't forget to turn around 3 times while jumping on one foot, and whistling the Star-Spangled Banner, then last but not least, delete ka and reinstall. If all this fails, take 2 aspirin and call gree in the morning....

I would send in a ticket, if yours is a isolated issue due to most people having the one already built.posting the problem here might not help as it would be a very specific bug. But should be easy for them to track down.

A few restarts should fix it.

I just need to get this off my chest: I'm at like an easy two dozen restarts, including a couple power downs. Losing entire days on quests drives me nuts. If I understood exactly why this happens, I might be able to deal with it better

Should be, altho I have heard of a issue if you don't have the old one built, it won't let you build the new beast boost building...but haven't heard of it more than the once on here.
So yes it should be open to all.

I just did my first upgrade and got the unboosted cost to 50k and time to 35h.
