Crate prize help - limited gold

Hey all,
I'd really like to get the 10 crate prize and have been sitting at 8 of them all day. If you only had about 150 gold at your disposal and weren't going to buy any, would you spend them on the automatic opening cost or resetting the timer? Thanks.

Limited gold, don't reset, use the gold open. You have a better chance the first day of getting the items rather than units. At least it used to be that way. The last day is when you will get more units then items.

Yep. Some people spent 8+ vaults of gold and not even get the last one. GREE gets your money and you never get the item. Its the biggest scam ever. You're better off playing for free. Dont spend money on crate events. If you got fre video gold then use it on opens, not resets.

I have 9 items and Im stuck. Like DIABLOPEZ said, chances are high you'll get stuck on 9. Luck is what you need, whether or not you spend money and gold.

Just got 10th opened using cash open. Was sitting on 9/10 for 2 days.

You're better off trying gold open if run out of time.

Thanks for this thread. I was gonna ask what people usually spend / win % on these events. I've only gotten 10/10 big Bertha type prizes once.

FYI I've spent over 3500 gold before when I had the 9th item and didn't get the 10th.....Its a complete Gamble.

Got 10/10 after about 36 hours. Just gotta make sure to open a case every hour. But as others said it's just by chance. Other 2 devices are 9/10. But would definately use the gold on guaranteed opens if your gonna use it

I hate crate events.. I tried with 1000's of gold and did not get tenth or eight.. Tried with zero gold and got all. Then tried last several crate events and no luck.. Ppl in my faction Have gotten all with zero gold already.. Not me..

It's always the lower stat guys who complete with no gold.. Suggests to me that Gree has it loaded for lower stat players to complete and higher stat players not to complete.. I'm just not willing to drop 5k gold on a maybe..

I agree, these crate events are always ridiculous, just spent over 500 gold opening crates at 8/10 trying to get the next two and the air defense reward. Got the air defense unit but the next 25 opens gave me useless 100 A/D units. Huge gamble and quite frankly a waste.

^^^^ Same for me. Such a waste. And then you see these people with hundreds. I spent 500 gold and couldn't get 1. How much gold does one need to get into the Top1 slot?

Do t they need to post the odds of winning in Vegas? That should be required for the crate event too. 600 gold just trying to get the tenth crate....and I didn't even get the unit wrapper.

I’ve never been lucky enough to get to number ten.
I even used gold and still no luck.
I sent in a ticket asking for information on the probabilities involved.
Here is the response I received.

“I do apologize for your frustrations regarding our recent event. I am passing your feedback on this issue directly to our developers.
Here is how the special event chances work: Once an event box is opened, one of several things will be awarded: money, respect, an extra grunt/ally, a weapon or unit, or the event special item. Regardless of how the box is opened, the reward is randomly chosen; opening a box does not guarantee that the event special item will be awarded. Each special event item gained will reduce the chance of getting the next, although this chance never becomes zero or below zero.”

Still it’s great to hear that people do actually get the 10.
