View Full Version : What's the purpose / benefit of hero armour?

Does anyone know what benefit the defense rating of hero armour gives? Does this just give a small boost to our overall defense stat for PvP, or does it serve some other purpose?

Since the attack value adds to the damage done in pve from weapons and armor..I would guess the defence value affects the hit back(there attack against you) no clue how much a effect it has..don't think anyone has ever worked out the math.

As far as I'm aware, it helps you avoid mob attack-back. Who knows the exact formula, but whenever I get a new armor with a much higher value than my previous one, I see a lot more "Missed!"

This question has been asked before, and no one from Gree has ever replied. So nobody knows. It's a mystery!

CJ, maybe you could let us know. We would all appreciate it.

I really hate these spam posts clogging up the thread! CJ, could you shed any light on the benefits of hero armour? Thanks

Hit the report button, lower left corner. Might get them removed a little faster if everyone hits it!

The armor is "supposed " to increase the chance the the pve enemy misses you.
There was a huge thread about this when the daran guardian came out. My previous armor was 126 def and even with the huge increase to 370, the miss rate went up maybe 5%.
The attack value of the armor is also supposed to be included when you attack pve . However , there is a problem in the algorithm some where. I sent multiple tickets into gree and was told many of us have complained . I have the 180 weapon plus a 200 attack bonus for a 380 attack before skill points or armor is counted. I sent in screen shots of me attacking and causing less than 380 points of damage .

There is an old thread like 9 - 12 months ago talking about this. From our investigations we have concluded, that it isn't a 1-to-1 on attack, weapon attack and armor attack, but there is a modifier on these which gives the max/min you can do. My own max I've done is higher than my weapon+armor+hero strength....

But if I calc weapon+armor+0.75*HS, then it gives my current average damage which I've calculated from about 200 hits excluding the killing blow. In the same thread also others have noticed that one increase of HS increases the average by 0.75 damage. On top of the average there is a random damage, which is by my guess 0.5*HS.

But as written elsewhere, nobody has cracked the defense calculation done or how much a better armor impacts. Maybe somebody should start noting down damage done and misses to figure out this.

I've seemed to notice a pretty similar calculation with my own attack damage - about 75% of total on average. However, it also seems that each type of enemy has their own defense stat, which may cause you to hit above or below the average. I'm assuming it would be similar that they would have different attack stats that would make it more/less likely to miss.

We will never really figure out the exact calculation , however , if my attack is 380 before the armor or skill points then I should not inflict less than 380 period. My high has been 495. My lower accounts high is 294, low is 232 with no bonus. My theory is that the 100 point bonus from Cupids bow is not being counted since it is not my strongest weapon anymore.

The cupid bow bonus is +100 army attack increase. I dont think it affects the damage dealt againts mobs.

Army Attack has exactly zero effect on mob damage. Exactly. Zero.

I am not sure gree even knows for sure, they have never said anything, and the feature I think was in the game at the start. So funzio would know how it works...gree doesn't have a clue....

Looks over at gree...prove me wrong....
