Why Is a Regular Member Promoted to Leader Over an Officer?

Makes no sense if a leader accidentally leaves a syn that a regular member is promoted to leader over an officer... Sucks for us... because that member is asleep and well gree is gree so we know they wont fix it anytime soon for us little guys...
