Why are there a gazillion Alex players in this game?

Gree will rename a player with an offensive name. Since there are so many with that name, some choose that name to make themselves difficult targets.

It is also the default name that every account starts with, so if someone never changes it or just clicks through the tutorial, that is the name they stick with.

We are all Alex inside as we were all born into CC with the same name....i may have changed mine but there will always be an Alex lurking inside me.

Gree will rename a player with an offensive name.
Only if someone complains. No problem with genuinely offensive names being changed, but many are quite funny and it's a shame when they rub up against a Mary Whitehouse type.
