I don't like the new "News" feature in the game

The 'News' icon in the game used to be helpful. It was a quick indication that meant someone either wrote on your wall, sent an ally request, or more often, either attacked or raided you. And then once you checked your news, the icon would disappear.

Now with the latest app update, it seems that you have "News" 100% of the time. Even if the news is just letting you know that you can buy crates, or that gold is on sale.

What's the point? It just clutters up my screen and gives me useless information.
