When will respect be useful?

Gree seem to give lots of respect points. But there is nothing useful to buy using it. Will they be making decent weapons and stuff to spend respect points on. Or is it just useless? Or am I missing something?

Your guess is as good as mine until a GREE staff announces further information. As of now respect points are not effective as they should be. However, Modern War recently released valor units (CC's version of respect points) which are drastically inflated. Could be a sign? heh

Early January they said they were implementing new ways to use respect points. I guess the engineers are still working on it, at the same rate they're working on ios transfers.

The #1 prize for the leaderboard event is a respect payout mod. I believe it was a respect payout for the last couple leaderboards. Is it for nothing? Only time will tell.
