Notifications on android gone forever? question for developers

Has notifications been removed from android permanently? Used to be handy being notified when your buildings are ready to collected and when battle has been declared. This aspect is very useful on modern war especially being notified war has begun.

I hate not getting any notifications on my LG. Thought something had changed with my phone, but I guess not. I never know if battle was started unless I click the Battle Icon. Keep getting robbed but doesn't tell me what was robbed. No popups. I thought they used to be annoying but now I see the use for them..

No, option has gone within game settings, it had been turned on phone settings. Been like this the past month. Have a Samsung s4. It's not on my s2 as well.
