Player is to beat up time limit

In how many hours can you attack a player after it says player is to beat up?

Was always 2 hours. At first after ten hits maximum, later expanded to twenty.

Recently though I did a doubling up on one guy who foolishly attacked both my accounts and was able to do twenty on both, so who knows....

All we know is that the more active you are, the less your cooldown perdiod is. This thing actually forced me to bank, as i was attacked every 20 minutes (and i didn't rob or attack anyone).
