View Full Version : Health Regen Time Bonus: 30% vs 35%

This is for all the players who state in there faction recruitment thread that they have a 35% Health Regen Time Bonus. Take a look at your faction's 7/7 bonus and it will say 30% not 35%. It doesn't mean multiplying 5% x 7= 35%. I know it's a small error on your part but it's not correct.

I'm on android and when I look on the factions main page it says 35%. Now I have other units with regeneration bonus so my profile won't reflect this.

Reduction of time or rate is a multiplicative effect, not additive as you would receive when a boost is INCREASED.

Instead of just subtracting 5% from your regen rate, you instead need to multiply by 95%, or 0.95. For those with maxed regen, that will look like this:

100 x 0.95 x 0.95 x 0.95 x 0.95 x 0.95 x 0.95 x 0.95 = 0.6983 or 69.83%

Rounded, this value becomes 70% or (-30%) of the initial regeneration time.

Can we please get a sticky on this so we don't have to answer the same question every week?

Or better yet... fix your game and display the proper values for regeration time cross platform and in BOTH the faction profile, and individual profile.

It isn't hard to do guys... literally a 15 second change. A copy and paste, if you will.

This is correct. And I agree that we need a sticky on this. Many people ask this question, and I'm tired of people making threads about it.

Why not just say that you have it maxed! Then the level playing field is set!

Without other regeneration boosts, and certain regenerative trinkets, the faction boost alone isn't worth much.

If this was the only thing awry in this game, no one would notice.
They'd be so darn happy, it wouldn't matter.

Read my post again...I was making a statement NOT asking a question!! I KNOW it's 30% not 35%. My faction has the bonus MAXED!!

hink everyone got huffy because I was letting you know android shows 35%. And since I already had some health units I could not confirm what it shows in profile. As we all know both platforms show things different

This is correct. And I agree that we need a sticky on this. Many people ask this question, and I'm tired of people making threads about it.

Believe an old, old player. A sticky won't matter. People will still not get it. Just keep politely explaining or ignore it. Those are your choices. The last thing we need are more stickys. There are players in sup1 or sup2 who have asked same questions. Believe me...

As for the 35%, if droid says that, you have your explanation for those recruitment threads. Nothing to get shorts twisted over. I'd be more interested if they said 99% regen...MOFFOS anyone? Maybe salt y iguana can get that thread going.

Or make it clear ingame whats boosts r multiplicative n which ones r a boost from base. That way someone doesn't spend a couple hundred buying a boost which they have factored in to give them a 5% gross boost but only get 0.5% to their stats and r left scratching their head. This ambiguity is in no way shape or form the consumers fault as no where in game does it say boosts r calculate from base stats only and reductions r multiplicative.

Other option is just make all boosts multiplicative but I don't think that will help as the top factions will be exponentially advantaged with every single event.

In fact all ingame advertising needs a clean up and the help section needs to be massive.

Also add explanations for bonus building % "Why my iph didn't increase by 20%" and upgrade cost reduction. And a link to math basics on the web.

Might be a droid thing but it actually shows 35% in game under the faction bonus section for me. I'm sure this adds tot he confusion. Best way to avoid it is just say maxed or 7/7.

It's either +35% regeneration rate increase or -30% regeneration time reduction. Both are correct
