Why does the run button take you to the store?

I want to run, not buy some worthless weapons from the store.

maybe because you are running away they send you to the shop to buy weapons so you aren't so weak and will battle the boss. :)

can you even buy enough weapons to make a difference? I thought event items were all that mattered these days :P
