Hello, hello knights!
We are hosting a contest for all of you to give you a chance to show off a bit! We are asking all of you to submit a photo of your MAIN KNIGHT, along with a 2-4 sentence story about your knight. Your knight's story can be completely made up! Get Creative!! Players will have until 12pm PDT, March 6, 2014 to upload their submissions. Please note that submissions should be uploaded as a comment to the FACEBOOK PAGE POST ONLY!!!! Submissions that fail to adhere to these guidelines will not be considered. After the submission deadline, a handful of finalists will be chosen for the community to vote on. The winner will receive the PLUS version of the advertised Arcane Mantle armor + 25 Fusion boost armors. 2 runner ups will get the normal version of the armor plus 10 fusion boost armors. Get creative, keep it classy and good luck! We look forward to seeing your submissions!
To recap:
1. Upload picture of your main knight as a comment to the Facebook post
2. Include your knight's name
3. Tell us about your knight! Have fun with it!
4. Make sure you upload your knight and story by March 6!
5. We will pick finalists
6. Voting period will begin

Also, doesnt facebook ToS say you have to give them permission to sell everything you upload to 3rd party companies and allow them yo track you as well?

never saw an event of KnD being entirely for the players.
all those rush referals and free keys were prior to the game votes.
look now - 3 months; no referal rush, no free keys, no new cape.

From a business standpoint - I can understand drumming up additional attention/traffic to the boards....
From a player standpoint - terrible, terrible, terrible idea unless there are compensating controls/offers for those who do not frequent these pages.

So it's a community vote for a select few to get 25 FBA armors? And to use those FBA on what, exactly? Something you have to buy? FBA are useless prizes when the only gear worth having has to be bought.
It's like they don't even know any better. So much possibility, such terrible, terrible, application to each individual idea.

There's really no choice but to agree with this. The rules plainly stated that you could only write a short story (2-4 sentences I believe) about your character, yet I head on over to Facebook to see the finalists are some long poem about the reaper, somebody writing a parody to the "Fresh Prince of Bel Air", etc. etc. That's why I didn't bother to vote.
The armor is nice and shiny though.

I think it's a fun little extra. When I wrote mine, I viewed the 2-4 as a guideline; kind of like back in high school/college when teachers would say "write a 500 word essay about your favorite colour toothbrush". I doubt anyone ever sat and constantly counted the words, but you knew they're generally looking for something between a page and a half to two pages long. So when mine ended up working out to be 6 in it's poemish format I didn't fret.
I certainly didn't expect to be in the crowd of finalists. I was feeling creative, it sounded fun and figured I'd maybe squeeze out a few smiles.
