There used to be a way to cheat in CC by changing your clock settings (e.g. skip building upgrade times, replenish energy free, etc). So people could do jobs nonstop (which pay out in-game cash), then use it to upgrade buildings, then fast-forward and skip the wait and refill their energy, and repeat. So a lot of "time travelers" have really blatantly cheated hoods, e.g. a ton of level 10 buildings even when they don't make sense practically (e.g. hordes of level 10 defense buildings, money buildings that are terrible to upgrade practically-- like Modern Lofts or Casinos, etc).

If you try it nowadays, apparently, it screws your whole hood, turns every building into "under construction" for like 30 weeks or something like that. So you can come across their hood, and point and laugh at the failed cheater.

Thanks for that. Have seen a few hoods with mostly lvl 10 bldgs and thought they mind numbingly meticulous at upgrading.

Was Android only at the time as you needed to do the dirty work with the game running. That was before iOS 7 allowed Apple users to access settings with another app running.

It's a glitch that apple users are jealous of because they couldn't do it. It was used to upgrade multiple buildings andto do maps without any exp increase. You couldnt keep cash from hood but missions you could.

Just hope if/when defence buildings are improved again, the cheaters with loads of level 10's don't reap any benefit.
