In my experience, most streak syndicates operate with a low number of powerful players and go without walls - to gather points from defensive wins instead of letting others score from wall hits.

But if you have no target you get more points hitting the command centre with no wall (avg 96), than you get hitting a wall (avg 48) so in my opinion it's better to have walls

I went solo with my mini last war and this was definitely the case in my experience

My approach was entirely different then - no wall encourages the less organised junior teams to take pot-shots at your players (they are seldom organised enough to scout and thereafter take a collective decision to put all their hits on HQ).

You frequently gather sufficient points (several 1000 from defensive wins) to win a match in the first 5 minutes and don't even have to lift a finger. This enables you to go back-to-back a lot of the time as you are not using any hits yourself.

This certainly contributed greatly to my 42-3 record the first time I tried it.

Going solo may be another story. If they have enough players then the no-wall strategy would be optimal
