It is when you're recycling bosses on a weekly basis for 2 months in a row

they have not been recycling 'most' of the armors and that is really the only thing that should matter anyway. the boss is here for a week then no one with their head on straight would ever fight it again. As long as the armors are fresh who gives a flip. For all I care, they could put a big black box where the boss is and as long as there is some variation in the armor I'd be fine with it.

Most intelligent thing I've heard in a while.
Ugliest armor that counters your "pretty" armor and kills it, still kills it.

You make an argument based on practicality, but I think what is bothersome about boss recycling is the principle of it as it illustrates a refusal by GREE to provide fresh content to players. It's one of multiple such signs from the company.
Recycling bosses smacks of cheapness. They can't even design new bosses now? They aren't really putting a lot of effort into this. That is the message it sends.
You're right, tshell, it's a total non-issue from the perspective of a pragmatist. But giving us fresh content is not only practical, but it's also symbolic. It symbolizes a respect for the customer/player and delivering fresh content would show that the company really cares to satisfy its clientele.
If recycled bosses was the only thing that players had to gripe about then it would probably be more of a gag than a legitimate gripe. Don't blame the player for not being satisfied with rehashed characters. Blame GREE for not illustrating a simple, token level of appreciation for the people who pay their salaries.

Sol Invictus you hit it on the dot!
Oh and love the signature. ..... rewards have been crappy makes me not try hard enough but lower level guild mates can use them still.

WOAH WOAH WOAH!!!
You can think what you want, but if that big black box doesn't have a unique and interesting power attack that I'm going to look at once and then speed through 119 times after that, well then sir, I will raise hell.

In all seriousness though, what's to say that this recycle of bosses isn't because they ARE focusing on new content?
I could understand this view if the developers of KnD were the type of people who put updates up about what's coming soon. But they're not. Twice we've gotten patch notes. But that doesn't disclude the numerous times that an update has happened without warning. For all we know, recycled bosses is how they're finding the time to answer all the complaining emails and tickets, and actually get on with making raid bosses.

I've tried saying this before but the whiners ignore anything that doesn't let them whine.

Because using a similar business model like many american TV series of 2-3 decades ago is more likely? (those used to do near 100% episodes you can watch in any random order without noticing much and only started investing in plot progression once ratings started dropping after a few seasons.)
Seeing at how little work/investment customers start walking away and then hovering just a tiny bit above that unfortunately seems to be a smart tactic from a business point of view. :(

You completely missed what I said. I Love Lucy is not a viable associative to KnD. Sorry. But this is the dumbest thing you've said in almost 800 posts

Had to wiki that. No, I wasn't thinking about something silly like sitcoms, but things more in the action/detective/sci-fi/adventure/fantasy corner where you'd kind of expect plot arcs, but the Americans all played the "let's see how long we can get away with episodes where at the end essentially nothing has changed and only start thinking up plot arcs when viewers start dropping away somewhere around the 4th season." (I doubt something like Game of Thrones would be as popular if they still played that trick there...)
IMHO Gree is playing the "let's see how long people will accept us filling in some different numbers and elements into a template and add some either new or recolored graphics and call that the new 'episode' of KnD" game.
Gree is still making more and more money by template copy-pasting, so to them new content would seem like a waste of money, just like those TV makers saw plot arcs as waste of money until viewer number start to slump.

This post gets my vote for my new "Smartest thing I've read all day" award.
Congrats LJK.
Back to Marco...
Most shows, however subtle, did/do have subtle plot arcs in the background, all while having an episode that you can watch and answers some questions, but not all. It isn't always fun to have every show be a cliffhanger, and most people don't want to have to pay attention to a whole season worth of shows to be able to understand what is going on. That is what a movie is for. You don't gain viewers if you absolutely HAVE to watch every episode of a show from day one.
