My game play is no longer fun. I used to pride myself in having built my defenses up so well, I had lost less than 1000 robberies in my 2yrs playing Crime City. I get robbed 5-10 times per hour now. My Robberies lost has gone up by over 200 in 3 days. Often my news feed shows 2 people in my hood at a time, as if they were alternating hits on my buildings. How can I solve this? Collect my hood more often...BullSh!t, I collect my hood all day, most times more than hourly. Should I build up my Defenses? No, because I am and always have been strong for my level. THE RIVAL LIST IS BROKEN! FIX IT!!!

Agreed. The game is hardly worth opening anymore to me. Everybody in my RL is close to me in strength so there's no point in trying to improve myself vs competition and all of their IPH's suck, so attacking them just gives them a link.

The changes are outstanding. Most of the people playing this game don't spend money on it. The game is now fair for the majority of it's participants. No more building an outstanding hood only to get robbed by a player with high stats and no income. Serves those losers right.

The formula for determining rivals combines iph, stats, and other things. As I have high iph, most players on my rivals list have lower iph, but higher stats. It seems that they need higher stats to average out their lower iph and match me in the formula. So what I end up with is a lot of players I cannot attack or rob, and the few that I can, I do not even really want to. This change sucks, is not fair, and makes the game less fun

Of course is a no no...ppl starts selling their buildings n rob us, while we are trying so hard to do all the LTB with gold nowadays! Still prefer the old methods. High lvl with good income buildings being rob by low lvl , so ths is fair or interesting ? The new rival list doesn't work as it should. Each individual strives to be the best at their level and they push themselves forward. Now exposing them to guys 20+ levels above them that have higher stats is completely unfair.

It actually discourages players from pushing further. Why bother when you're at level 150 and getting level 250s on the list. How exactly is that in any way motivating or fair?

On top of that... defense is completely broken. PERIOD. Fix things so that if you have a higher defense then the opponent they can't rob. Make it simple. Also fix the buildings already.

Sorry. My mistake. I should have clarified it to the portion of the game that the thread deals with. The rival list or more specifically attacking and robbing people. How much money you make has nothing to do with winning or losing those events nor should it.

But often you're not talking about comparable A & D. It's possible to rob someone with a defence stat twice that of the attacker. Defence buildings were effectively neutralised way back at the dawn of the game after players planted forests of them to protect a 'mat and a pizza parlour. The game has become ridiculously skewed to favour attack.

but that's the biggest point of my whole irritation, the rival list is not packed with players that have enough understanding of the game to be strong on their level, why should somebody on level 30 be pitted against somebody on level 150. because the level 150 player sucks at the game and therefore deserves a chance to go back in time and pick on level 30's, it is ridiculous. if somebody rushed through the levels leveling up as fast as they can and now should pay the penalty for it doesn't happen anymore, they have been given a chance to suck at the game and just destroy players 100 plus levels lower than them.

Perhaps you missed the point by a few hundred inches, as well as the others who say they love it because they can rob a lot more (what kind of ignorant/2D feedback is that). The point is that we can't all be super, with everyone being super, no one will be, this is simple. Adding the small IPH based percentage.

Just because someone on 150 can find someone on 30 doesn't necessarily mean the HLP sucks at the game. Not everybody can afford to (or in as many cases is willing to, even though they can afford it) spend hundreds of dollars monthly on what is at the end of the day, a throw-away app game.

They might have been playing a long time too. My MW games will be two years old in the next month or two, but I'm still below level 100 there ;)

For me the new rivals list is good for removing all those inactive accounts that used to clog it up. I don't mind the wider spread; it's really no different than the old shark tank was except its across the board and works both ways now. Older players used to enjoy the occasional glitch when the level opened right up and low levels could see up to level 200. What needs to be fixed, and quick, is the inability of players to defend themselves against raids.

If defence buildings are to be made worthwhile again though, the numerous time travellers with large numbers close to or at level 10 should not benefit from it. Their cheat buildings should only count to the last legit upgrade.

There is no "right" way or "wrong" way to play this game. I don't fault Z or anyone for enjoying building there iph. Their prerogative. I do however find it tiresome continually insulting people for not playing by his rules. I am quite certain the person with the highest iph does not win this game.

You're missing the point here. I'm quite sure every player with good iph (and probably many without) get hacked off when they are robbed, even if only for a minute. That's the game.

But when the defensive side has been deliberately neutered by the company running the game, that's where the problem is. It's all very well to say this is a crime game, but watch any decent tv series or movie about organised crime. It won't take too long to grasp that a large part of the operation lies in defending one's turf against people trying to take a slice of your particular pie. That vital component simply doesn't exist here because the company chose to cripple players' ability to do so.

You're impossibly dense, with a subpar grasp on the mechanics of the game arguing like a debater; you don't need a point, you just need a seemingly cleaver rebuttal.

The fact is, this game used to be about leveling up slow to get better at the game. Epic bosses are set up that way, Syndicate wars award more IP if you defeat someone of a higher level than you, and to a lesser extent, making sure you don't get robbed. If you stay tougher than 95% of your rivals (not hard to do; I'm in a top 150 Syndicate, no gold, and I run my own business so CC can't take a buttload of time) you can save more money and get higher on the LTB levels, further increasing your stats. Furthermore, Syndicate bonuses can be bought with in-game cash. Use that to bribe lower syndicates into becoming a baby Syndicate, like the SAS family.

TL;DR: In-Game cash is an important part of the game, giving us a nice advantage when LTBs come around.

I already posted when this thread started and was "indifferent", after a few days I changed my mind you could say :/ its total sux big time!!! On the one good hand, I'll have enough $2 to take this new ltb to lvl 10 :) used to put in the work and earn 100M on a good day, finding/timing peeps whole hoods (haven't SEEN a whole hood since) and around lvl 100 mark theres wasnt that many rich folk. Now press button and everyone has cash/looted, just use my news feed now and get more that way. And I'm glad there's an ltq to trigger the boss tonight, mayhem last few days!........and has anyone else got lower robbers stats that attack/profile stats? Because on profile/attack flash I have same numbers, robbery flash I got half a million less :/ plus the items used have gone up to 2530...like to know :)

Short answer: Probably not happening.
Long answer: Remember when Facebook/YouTube made big changes to the way their site worked and everyone hated it and then a few months later everyone realized it was a lot better? We're hoping it'll be something like that. We understand that in the short term, the changes are pretty jarring and severely changed the way several players had been playing the game (camping) but we feel that in the long term, PVP will be better off with this new rivals list system and so we're not changing it, though we are monitoring the situation very closely and will continue to adjust the algorithms in place.

Looks like we'll have to keep this thread on the front page for months before 75% of the players on this forum are listened to.

So some of my buildings came up for collection. I logged in 4 minutes after they were ready. The total I would normally get from this building time cycle is 15mil (a little more). I finished collecting and found my cash on hand at 6mil. It hadn't even shown any of the buildings as robbed yet. I banked it then checked my News feed, to find somebody had robbed me for 9mil. Now the point of this post isn't that I was late to collect my buildings (4minutes), and it isn't that people now have modifiers that allow them to take more than 50% of your buildings income. My complaint is that this heppens to every single major collection I have all day long. I started setting timers, and heaven forbid I am 3 minutes late. I get robbed 200+ times a day. I spent a long time building my income and Gree has decided that with my stats I don't deserve to keep it.

Short of it...sadly through so many Gree mistakes, this will probably be the one I leave the game over. I have rolled with a lot of problems in a cell phone game. This Sucks, I hope they fix it.

I feel your pain, By that I mean that I have a level 8 camper account that is constantly attacked by players 40 levels above me with 100x the stats.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: this sucks, change it back.

Collect on time is the only way. I get robbed a lot, but it's very rare I lose my nightclubs, 12, 24 or 48hr buildings as I have them set to go off when I know I'm on. Only if something happens - usually oversleeping in the morning - to cause the clubs to slip away from my preferred time do I leave them to reset. Otherwise I'm sure to be on game with a few minutes to spare.

With my 20hr LTBs if they get robbed I leave them until my final collection at night. 4 hours before that is just after our evening meal; 4 before is as I'm packing up work for the day; 4 before is just before break for mid-day meal, and 4 before that is after breakfast, so I can usually ensure getting them 4-5 days straight :)

I just refreshed my rivals list 15 times and all I can see is levels 5-9 and yet I'm getting attacked constantly by levels 23-51. I want an answer on how this crap is happening. Btw I'm still level 8. I played around using this game in a one person syndicate and during a streak I faced a 21 person syndicate with a L175 DL that had another L200+ player on it. In what kind of world is this even close to being fair??

If I spend gold then I will be pointlessly strong at my level bc I will be paired up with gold spenders at higher levels. So why spend money? You wont get an advantage over anyone.

I couldn't see the point in the new list.. we all need to focus on the strategic vision of the game.. $$ buys you a new rival list, that's our goal. Get with it people!

The way the game was.. build iph (a goal of buying anything you want, building stats and having a nice hood). Build stats (goals of protecting the hood you spent months.. or longer building, be a beast at against competition). And the way to do that.. put massive time into building your hood, be smart about building stats.. and of course spend real money for gold to get bigger stats.

Now it's changed as we all know.. same for building your hood, totally different for stat growth. Since levels mean nothing now. The more money you put into stats the less use it is since you'll always be matched with rivals in your range with no regard for level (why even have levels anymore?). The new game with a new goal.. lets say you decide to put your 2k tax return into the game (I read about someone doing just that on this forum, this was a year or so ago so he probably bought his self a cool 500 k boost in stats lol).. so 2k.. congrats, your stats grow a few mil or whatever, doesn't really matter.. then boom! you immediately get matched with a new set players 20 levels above and below you with similar stats.. now you decide you want to dominate this new rival list so you go crazy and dump another 2k on stat improvement (great idea by the way).. then boom.. you just paid 2k for a fresh new list of rivals with similar stats, congrats on that!

I say we adapt to the new game! Rather than post screen shots of your level 100 account with 10 mil stats that you paid $$$ to grow (understand that means nothing now, because the free players leaps of levels above you will eat you now).. so get with it and post a shot of your new rival list!

The more real $$ you spend the tougher your rival list is, therefore the more bragging rights you have! I don't know about you but my goal this year is to spend as much as possible on this new game and post the most beast rival list out there! Stay tuned!

10 million downloads doesn't mean 10 million active players. Given the huge numbers of inactive accounts that used to clog up my rivals list, it's probably reasonable to say the vast majority don't hang around that long.

And Santoro is right. Sample size. If a survey needed every possible member then how would that be possible to do? The sample from this forum may not be a true representative of the entire CC population but it definitely consists of the people who love and care about the game so much they created an account on this forum. Im sure the number of active players vs number of downloads is quite drastic. I wouldnt be surprised if a million of these downloads are people who download it and immediately uninstall it just to get points in another game.

If I owned CC I would take the players on this forum much more seriously than others playing the game. And like I said, if you give me money I will make you feel more powerful so you can keep giving me money. If I see a bunch of red on my rivals list, spend money and still see red then why would I spend more? Get it together Gree!

You sound like me for the past 2 years. I would get robbed by a slum lord with pawn shops and chicken and waffle restaurants just because their attack/defense was in the high hundred thousands and sometimes millions. Those were the players ruining the game. It sucked getting all my high income property robbed by players I didn't even want to rob back. Now I can actually find players with equal iph that I can get revenge on. Sure you can still get robbed by players with a lower iph, but your chances of making your money back via revenge or robbery have dramatically increased. IMO.

I was in favor of the rival list change but after a couple of weeks I have to say it blows.. There's no incentive for leveling up everyone in my rivals list as lower iph then me. So no point to revenge robbing when I get less back then what they leech from me. Plus some of my lower level friends keep being robbed by players 20 levels above them and stats in the millions are these cheats or huge flaws in this new rival list?.

I have to search through the rivals that I have for anybody that has a better income per hour then I do in my grouping. and there are a couple that have better income per hour than me but their stats make them untouchable, for the most part it's a bunch of people that make 10 percent of what I make maybe even 25 percent of what I make per hour and by attacking them I am only providing a quick link back to my hood.

I don't doubt that the new rival list is working out well for you but it should be obvious that you are in the vast minority of the sample audience represented here on the forum. I understand if a game change was made that would be advantageous to myself I would want to keep it around, however like I said it seems you are the anomaly and not the standard.

I would also like to know how you address the new list making stats insignificant for all but one weekend a month. perhaps you are in the top ten percent of Crime City, but the other 90 percent of us don't think this is cool

I also dont care to get robbed. Like you, even when robbed I collect plenty of money. My iph is over 20 mill so I dont care. Even before the rival list change my nightclubs would get robbed every now and then at night and it never bothered me.

Have you spent any real money on this game? If not then you wouldnt understand the point of everyone being upset. And I am really interested in hearing if your opinion if theres a point in building attack and defensive stats anymore. I dont see any reason now to spend real money or to build stats. There is only a minimal time where stats matter now.

Now if gree does continue to allow us to buy items like the duds from last SLTQ then cash becomes more important. But it remains to be seen if this will continue to be the norm.
Bottom line is that I find my cash piling up in my bank with little to spend it on. If I can afford all the ltb buildings and still donate 4 bill to buy Uzis for each raid boss what is point of building iph further? I still build my iph daily solely because it is fun.

Even with this list I finished the event with day to spare. I don't find myself getting robbed more the the previous list. Even buying gold I was never going to be the strongest at my level. Other than that I think it is crazy that you see the same amount of robs AND you buy gold? What in the world are you spending gold on?!?!? I used to buy gold and was better than about 95% of the people at my level. So I would still lose an attack or a rob here or there (and like I said I wouldn't care bc it is fake $ in a game and my iph is very high). If I scroll through my news feed I would see red on 1 or 2 rows of the feed. Now I see 1 or 2 rows of green! Again I don't care to see red but I do care bc of the money I spent on gold in this game. Gold was supposed to be that precious metal that gave you an advantage in the game as a thanks for spending money on the game. Green Drake, I am fine getting robbed, it is the game, yet one component of the game was growing your stats to lessen your chances of being robbed, while increasing your chance of successfully robbing others, they have altered that dynamic, and yes I feel jaded over it.

Hey we are on the same page... I damn near can rob anyone in my list and win without even looking at their stats. I got in a car accident 5/25/13 that pretty well left me a useless person IMO. My GF actually got me into this game and I refused for months. So here I sit 8 months after, been playing for about half that... In 4 months this game did more loopdy-loops then the damn corkscrew at cedar point.

I was into it, they had me hooked like a big ol' fish. Its starting to turn into I've saw that same fake worm before, last time I bit it, I thought I'd eat, but the dude pulled me out of the water and I couldn't breathe for ten minutes, because he wanted pictures of my big self(All the gold buyers, including me)... Thankfully I didn't get filleted but some on here did.. And I am sorry you ate the rubber worm tooooooo many times, but I've now learned you just leave it alone lol. Still have gold from the last time I bought it too... And never again, there is no point. Doesn't make the experience any different.

The new rivals list sucks goat udders, and leaves no incentive to get any stronger or better for 80% of what used to be normal play. War is the only incentive. That's starting to suck with all their "fixing" now too.

After reading this I had to look at the vote again to believe that now 107 people said they like it. Then I forgot an important part of the equation: The Troll Factor! Last cycle I skipped 2 events completly and missed the best prices for LTB for beeing slow (or lazy) with the upgrades.
But with the new rival list, I do not have any disadvantages as it still shows people with similar or slightly stronger stats.
The frequency of getting attacked or robbed did not change neither...

Maybe it is the first step of winning the game :cool:

100% agreement! According to Oracle they wanted to prevent camping. Ironically, Gree made camping quite reasonable again. It was dead due to stat inflation. We still have that inflation but stat gains don't help you anymore (except for wars).

I'm not a fan - it was bad enough previously when I occasionally got robbed by someone 3m attack lower than my defence now it happens regularly.

I asked my skill points to be reset also since mafia defence is pointless and I have a lot in there from starting the game two years ago but Gree wouldn't do it. Wanted to fill out energy with those extra points for LTQs.

I don't mind being robbed just as long as they have similar stats or higher.

I used to rarely have a full stamina bar....I was always slightly above average stats and use my stronger position to attack those weaker then me, to get bricks for my syn and rob occasionally as well....I have barely robbed/attacked since the change and I've been hit much, much less as well....

I was away a few weeks ago for 3-4 days and came back to see my hood entirely untouched. Collected something like $250m. This would never have happened under the old rivals list. So, in my case it has absolutely killed PVP....

After some time living with this new rivals list.. I have to say there is NO way that this new rival's list is good at all.. I've been farmed, sometimes within 60 seconds of my buildings coming up for collection (and I haven't attacked anyone to be on their news feed) - I can't fight back at all, I can't save up to continue to expand my hood.. I'm at 20m IPH and it means jack crap right now except that I can't "win" against anyone, I slip on one collection and they've taken back in one shot what I could gain from them in a week..

Gree, the vote is more than 4:1 from your community, you've lost gold spenders, active faction members, all to satisfy a few people who made it to level 250 who had a 'small pool of targets'.. Why not put the rivals list back and raise the level limit to 300 or 350?

Levels right now are pointless.. Someone at level 250 is a lot more active than I am, how is that fair to the slightly more casual player like me?

Gree, the vote is more than 4:1 from your community, you've lost gold spenders, active faction members, all to satisfy a few people who made it to level 250 who had a 'small pool of targets'.. Why not put the rivals list back and raise the level limit to 300 or 350?

Levels right now are pointless.. Someone at level 250 is a lot more active than I am, how is that fair to the slightly more casual player like me? trying to see the good in all this, I can at least say that spending Gold is now pointless. it doesn't matter whether I get stronger or not I still have people that are going to beat the daylights out of me and my income per hour puts me in a stronger pool, because I have more income per hour most everybody on my rivals list and because my income per hour high (for my general level) to offset this it seems they have put people that have crappy income per hour and huge attack and defense stats compared to mine on my rivals list.

so in short there's no need for me to spend gold to improve because I'm just going to be bumped up against stronger enemies, thank you for making me a gold free player

If you have a high IPH, your reward for all your hard work is to play the role of "victim". You exist in the game solely to be a robbery target for lesser players. There is nothing you can do to stop it. You may as well be an NPC. This is what the game has turned into. I continue to play only because I have a sliver of hope that Gree will come to their senses and fix this colossal screw up.

As a relatively new player to the game, I like the new rival list. I like robbing hoods and this change gave me access to much higher IPH hoods. I have been robbed a few times myself but try to keep an eye on the time knowing when my bigger stuff is ready to collect. It's just part of the game, criminal activity, criminals rob people.

As a newer player, I'm ok with it. Does that make me the guy you all hate? Before, I couldn't hardly rob anyone. I was level 60 or so, had 800k/850k attack and defense. I would constantly come up against ppl who had att/def in the MILLIONS, yet still at level 60 like me.

I'm now around level 80, have built my stats a little better (1.4mil/1.5mil), but at least I actually get people on my rivals list I can actually have a chance of attacking. Before it was just lose lose lose, or not even attack or rob at all. At least now I can have some fun.

The pvp brawl event was disappointing due to issues with rival list had same folks showing up no matter how many times I refresh it. My current stats are around 30k (new acct) and I just lost a robbery to someone with stats in the low hundreds. How does that make sense? My equipment blows theirs out of the water. They don't seem to have joined a synd since loot is only what you would get from daily scratcher and doing jobs. I have 59 members with equipment for all (some synd loot and as few lower level items as possible) and they have 11. I lost on only the 2nd robbery attempt. Are we just to assume that nothing is a sure thing anymore?

It actually doesn't. The poll tells the complete opposite. Crime City has 10 million players/downloads...that's MILLION. This poll shows that only 400 or so players really hate the change. Let's just say 500. Now subtract 500 from 10,000,000. Sounds like there are a lot more satisfied customers or indifferent players. Tough luck kids. I recently fired up my full hood and starting collecting as close to on time as I can for my final task. Every time I leave something up there's always a piece of gutter trash waiting. Hope the leaches like my collection style now. It won't be forever but I will certainly out collect these worthless sacks of sht that gree has allowed to run amok and ruin the game.

Again, my definition of a leach is someone I don't know that has less than half my income and no earthly right to even lay eyes on my hood.

Definitions aside, it is apparent this game ruining change is here to stay. It is perfectly representative of the vile evil that runs this game. This game is ruined, and until we convince people like tam to donate to charity instead of funding this gross abomination, nothing is going to change.

Stats are worthless, high income is now a detriment instead of an esteemed and aspired goal. The fun I once had in this game has been removed forever. That's cool. Fk this company. I suggest the first to go, be admins that claim to fix everything and yet do absolutely nothing to fix anything.
