Medals... am I the only one that misses them already?

Over the last couple war cycles I saw a lot of guys talking down the medals. I kept shut, but now that they are missing from this current cycle I wanted to put it out there... The medals were great! Sorry if not all of you got every medal. You are not ALL suppose to. All event difficulty levels are set on a curve. Some will finish, many will not.

Sorry, no, I don't miss them at all. I like to get rewards for each event, and know what rewards I'm working toward. But that's just me.

With the medals you always knew what reward you were working for, it was the first unit you saw everytime you logged in. It was about 340k/380k...

Well, that's true, but I wasn't clear. What I mean, specifically, is that I personally prefer per-event rewards, like the 300k+ attack stats you'll get if you finish the current LTQ. I could spend $5k on gold and still not know for sure that I will be able to get 70 medals since getting 70 requires getting all the case item rewards (slot machines), getting 50 WD wins, and getting max WD streaks. However, I do know for certain exactly what I need to spend on the current LTQ to finish it and get roughly the same stat gain that the 70th Chile medal got the few who were able to get 70.

The medals were great! I earned 60 medals each cycle and received a 100k+ unit each time. Even spent extra gold in wd events on individual wins so I could pick up the 60th.

Good riddance to bad rubbish re medal cycle. Terrible idea. If you like them, just mail a paycheck to GREE directly. No need for apple to get a cut.

While I never tried to collect all of them, I think the medals were a GREAT addition to the game. Unfortunately, Gree screwed it up by not being transparent as to when you could earn them so that people could make informed decisions. I've always been of the view that we all can decide which events we participate in, so I don't mind having so many different things going on, but only if the developers are able to do the appropriate QA, which has never been the case.

It was posted that they are on hold indefinitely while they work some things out with them. I knew I wouldn't collect all of them but thought it was a nice addition to the game as well. Gree needs to execute things better and improve communication about events and how they work. If they would give us a heads up on new events and how they work before the events actually start, people might be more receptive to them.

I liked the medals a lot. I didn't like them at first but I started getting more and the units were pretty good especially when they went to 100k.

I didn't really try to collect them so i thought they were great due to the units I was getting without trying.

I am missing it very much. I haven't completed one so far because i hadn't really been trying but stocked up on gold to complete it in the next cycle and now they've scrapped it.

I got all of the medals and still did not enjoy them. Too much uncertainty in the process and Gree really messed up when they gave everyone an extra medal in Chile. That basically punished everyone who obtained all 70 legitimately.

I would like to finish most if not all the events. I'm expected to spend a fair bit of gold to do so. I accept it as part of the game.

At the end of the day...the medal units are really icing on the cake for me. That's my side of the story.

However, I can understand why many people hate it. Would love to have it back soon.
