Illegal Shipment is the worst collect 10 case event in CC history.

Never has there been a case event where more gold users didn't get any final prize whereas many players who did cash opens only were able to get both final prizes.

All players i know who used gold in the last 2-3 days did not get the final prize. (even when they dumped a vault)

What a joke, this event must have eaten up many vaults.
A bit GREEdy here...

it certainly makes one wonder if there are indeed other factors involved other than just odds. but then i hear reports of players opening with 300 gold, 100 gold, free.... and i cant help but wonder, is this not the true definition of random?

N41LZ
01-22-2014, 03:48 AM
Perhaps it is down to pure luck, but it must be quite a coincidence for 6 players to be stuck after getting case #9 for 2-3 days.... gold was used for the last 2 days at every opportunity to try and get the last one.

This also included burning through resets + gold opens in the last few hours and only getting the side quest items repeatedly...

i know of two players that dropped over 2k gold on it. I dropped 1800 myself. I wouldnt have waited til last day tho. did they run out of gold or time?

I was on 7/8 and 9/10 with over 3 days left. Normally I spend gold, this time I didn't and didn't recieve it.
It seems as though they know who the spenders are and what they are willing to normally spend so make it harder so they spend more.
But I know gree claim it's entirely random.

They got up to a certain point where they did not think any further investment was worth the cost $$$

LMAO!!! Worst Case Event Ever... Matter of perspective...

Usually struggle to get 1/2 the Brick Total with 'Game Cash' and get extremely frustrated by these Events...

However, I think someone 'upstairs' might have actually been looking out for the 'Free Players', in this 'Free Game' for once...

Four Accounts...

Final Tally...

7/8 + 9/10
8/8 + 9/10
8/8 + 9/10
7/8 + 10/10

Game Cash Only...

(apart from last Account, the first three were all 7/8 + 9/10 with 2 days to go & I only opened about 15 boxes a day!) Sweet!!!

***BEST CASE EVENT EVER***

Not mine or GREE's fault that you decided to waste Gold!!!

So, who is really Greedy!!??
Money should never be more important than ability & good tactics...

It's about time there was a Balance, thanks GREE!

take the whole quote in context, it's not Rocket Science!

That's referring to the Game; Not the Crate Event! Duh!

This is a thread about the crate event.
You was implying that you getting 10/10 was a result of tactics. Not pure luck.

surely dont look random if i was able to get 9 bricks in the first 2 days, and not a single one during the last 2 or 3 days lol. or it could be that the probability of getting the first 9 bricks is much much much higher than the odds of receiving a 10th one. the odds are definitely not consistent throughout.

Tactics on case event open as many as you can w 350 gold using cash opens day 1 only resetting. After spend only cash till last minutes if no prize... blnt

I was 7/8 and 10/10, all cash opens, no gold. Never gold. Luckiest I've ever been on CC.

If you are going to spend a lot of gold, best to do it on day 1 when the odds are better.

After this case event I am almost sure that the amount of gold you typically spend (historically) dictates your find % rate.

It's why gold bonus program users were expected to drop a vault for this event, moderate gold spenders would need 600-900 gold to complete this. If you don't spend at all or are a light spender you had a better chance of completing this for free. Pleeenty of gold users in my syn were forced to spend wayyyy more than "2% find rate for the 10th brick" or whatever. I'm a moderate gold user, it costed me about 350 gold for the fume vest, I saw the brick would cost me another 500-600 gold and cut the event short muself

It is very easy to rig this mathematically, and the correlation of heavier spending players being forced to spend more to complete is too powerful of one to ignore.

I had a feeling this was the case with the last case event but I'm hearing from dozens of players that they spent exactly what I expected they'd have to to complete this event.

This event was made to goad you to spend a little more than comfortable on an event like this - your choice if you want to play their game or not.

I got 10/10 snow bricks in 2 1/2 days. I also got 7/8 side items and needed the golden scar for 2 1/2 left. I opened boxes every hr on the hr. as I set my clock for each open. All free and cash openings

:( I'm sorry about the bad luck on the Illegal Shipment, but this event had the same drop rate as the previous events. All players have the same odds no matter if they spend money or don't. We also added a quest to reward players that had all 8 drop items since the odds are slightly higher for an item drop vs a token drop.

I completed this even using cash opens only. The key is to try and open as many as you can. So, set a timer. If you're hardcore, do it in your sleep, too. Everyone has the same chance... which goes into a request that might calm the nerd rage around here.

Can you please post the probabilities of:

opening a case/box using the "free open" and the "cash open"
if there is a "successful open: what are the chances of get the token/quest item
since it gets harder as you progress, you'll have to post the probabilities after getting X amount of tokens/quest items

By posting this info, players "know" what they are getting into. Furthermore, I cannot see a reason why this data should be a "secret" to the player base. This is done for the rewards during the "Raid Boss" event. So, is it possible that a table be made and shared?

i noticed i do alot better on my camper account (gold free account), my camper got the armour for free for this event infact i think my camper as won just as many as my main (when it comes to free weapons) . i reckon i will end up winning more collect 10's on my free account even though my main is at least 1 year older (maybe even 2) . my main has won 3 collect 10's in total (first free weapon was the banker buster , the weapon that looks like a stone hammer and the trainers from the event before this, i have done all the collect 10's with this account). i do think free players get better odds.

I, too, had 9/10 very quickly. I then opened 40 straight cases with no bricks. That's not bad luck, that's intentionally making the last brick so difficult to obtain that people have to spend gold to get the last brick. If you open a case every waking hour (that's 17 times a day for me) you should be able to get all the prizes without using gold.

I suspect using "cash open" gives less chance to actually opening the case but if you did open it, the chances of getting the token is higher then if you use "gold open" which 100% gaurantee you will get something.

Pretty sure they intentionally made it this way so the heavy spenders will keep getting nothing but are likely to stay on it...

This may explain why it seems cash opens appear to have greater success.

There are lot of previous threads here about the odds or strategy during case events.
It seems better to open all the crates or cases you can, during the first day.
Not seems "lucky" open cases with gold during last days (bad strategy I mean).
Search that old threads, Read and Learn, or not...

This are the my results in this event. I was opening with game cash.

LongFingers (Lvl199) 8/10 and 6/8 in the other objects like radar lockout
LF-Mini (Lvl53) 10/10 and 7/8 (so close final prize)
LF-Mini2 (Lvl37) 8/10 and 6/8

When I was a real active player, I won all this items from a Case Event using only cash opens:

+ urban ops carbine 210/147 (+respect in robs)
+ warmachine sleight 207/150 (+mafia attack during fights)
+ evidence blaster 212/158 (30% upgrade building cost)
+ Executive coupe 1483/1185 (30% upgrade building cost)
+ sweet seduction 1825/1217
+ imperial HK mark 23 1588/1300
+ electrick shake 1763/1269

Not bad for free,

My experience: I was only using the cash option and was stuck on 9 bricks and 7 items for the last two days of event. On the last day, I dumped my remaining gold from the free 200 we got a few weeks back - and only got the random items. An hour later, I opened the next box with cash and got the fume suit. Crazy. Never did get the final brick, though.

Yes, it was called the Event: Illegal Shipment and the requirements to finish were to collect all 8 of the drop items (excluding the token)

No, again, no. All the method of opening affects is how likely it is to get the box open. Once the box is open it is the SAME CHANCE to get a token no matter how you got the box open.

Last time I'm spending gold on this type of event, first 30 min of the event I opened 22 cases and got 9 and the 8 different prize. 600 gold spend, next I'm counting 1800 gold spend on the last one and then stopped.

Next couple of days only using game money as many players got 9 with that. Last hour of the event I got the last one (read bought) 3k gold spend in total and around 170 boxes opened to get the last one.

I was dragged down in a hole as it would be too expensive not to get it.... Stupid me... Well I learned I should not spend gold on anything that is not sure, so future gold will not be spend on box, crate, case events.... Not even if I'm missing the last one in the last hour.

Since it has been reiterated time and time again and you still feel since you spent 200 dollars you were cheated, it would make the most sense not to spend gold on this event. Guarantee of opening is not guarantee of getting what you want..
