yes, we feel the pain... walking into battle with 30,000 points separating us from the next tier of prizes... this is what we get...
Thank you Gree.. Well done... yet again!

Its all good guys! Stop the panic!

We are all having ther same problem. Fact 1

No one is gaining any advantage over anyone else. Fact 2??? (in the last hours of battle)

Gree are making less money as we can't waste gold as fast. Fact 3

All hail the 80s arcade pacman server they are using.

Your Fact 2 is incorrect. We are behind the next tier by 30K... we lost a prize and modifier because of this... We EXPECT the battles to run properly and efficiently throughout the event.

Ahhh I see you point! I have added question marks behind dodgy fact 2 ;)

I still think its awesome Gree can't make as much due to their crappy server.

I don't get your point - the people above you by 30k would be encountering the same problems too in maintaining their position. A level playing field of difficulties, so you wouldn't be disadvantaged.

Seems you were just doing more poorly than those you were behind.

Good luck being compensated. We were out of the next tier of prizes last time by 100 points (yet our syndicate total showed us that we had it.)

Still waiting to hear back from that "Crime City Player Experience Specialist"

The only way Fact 2 cannot be 100% accurate is if they were doing the sand bagging win streak thingy and were saving their ip rush for the last battle to gain rank.
Then the massive lag ruined their master plan.

Fact 2 still has some weight to it though.

It's affecting everyone.

So here's the rundown as I've been made aware, regarding the server issues this weekend:

-Some servers need upgrading, we're doing that (that was not something we could do safely during the event, that would have been ugly)

-Several processes have been causing a good deal more server-client interaction than intended, and we're not clear on the cause yet. We killed a number of those processes on Friday (in cases where it was safe to do so) and we put logging in place so that we could identify and tune the others afterwards. That improved things somewhat but it was obviously still pretty laggy this weekend, culminating in the lag today at event end as everyone is on trying to get those last few points. The good news is that the logging should allow us to find what the heck is going on there and put a stop to it.

The long and short of it is that we apologize for the inconvenience caused by the lag and server issues; we know that it was past reasonable expectations this time and we're going to do what we need to to improve it for next time.

EDIT: I do understand the expectation that things will run smoothly; we would all of us (developers, engineers, players, support, etc.) prefer this. This is not always possible, but in those cases we will do our best to make sure that there is no repeat of causative agents going forwards.

Great to hear CJ54. Is it true fixing Carmen had this effect on the server? :)

Anyway nice to hear y'all are looking at fixing the performance.

You need to majorly upgrade servers which you wont do any time soon because it will mess any event up

Happened to me last event too. Missed next tier by 100 points (despite our synd total on multiple devices reflecting we had more than enough to take next tier.).

Its a sham. No other way to put it

It has never been soooooo laggy as it was this last battle. and yeah.. if u were just inside the tier before the troubles started...u would be out of it without knowing and the other way around.. i say extend the tiers again..

I have this really small pocket in my pants that I can't figure out what to do with. It's inside another pocket. My coworker has a small pocket on his shirt sleeve. I assume you're saying Gree should have small pocket structure like this on their outfits because they're probably California hipsters, right?
