Rewards for the upcoming GW "War of Kings" is absolutely ridiculous!!!

This GW reward is a bit ridiculous. Nice epic for top 10, but then the others get boss armor which many of them alread have maxed? And this armor is even more crap than the previous combustion! Previous wars, the elements for those armor are the same like the epic, so why cant they make the same for it?

More reasonable reward would be:
#1 Bronze Chromatic Mantle+
#2-10 Bronze Chromatic Mantle
#11-50 Black Kaleidoscopic
#51-100 Kaleidoscopic starmetal Raiment

*Putting Bkal + and kaleido+ would be nice, but i doubt gree would put that since they are greedy to do it..... but Ravenlord???!!!! I think quite some guilds are going to do gems-spending GW unless they have a chance to go for that epic

It is not new content. Its the same thing we've been doing weekly for months now with improved 'features' to require more gems to be competitive. I like the changes, its fun and all, but its NOT new content.

The stats are not game breaking nor ridiculous. Red Kal+ had better stats than the reg epic for this Guild Wars and will end up being tons cheaper gemwise for those that purchased it directly.

Yeah... this GW is horrible. Not for the reasons that some say, that there will be players who have it... and players who doesn't. But instead it's stats aren't that impressive.

I got all excited when I saw it... but then after comparing to several in my guild and their Red+ kaleidescope and it was obvious that it wasn't worth it. Tried battling them in PVP and true enough. I won everyone as long as I didn't miss.

The only ones who are going to enjoy this one is those who will be number 1.
Because that might be strong enough to actually make a difference in a battle.

This reward is a joke. As previously stated, rkal+ has better overall stats and most of the ptp players have a couple of those already (usually sitting in your inventory in that "maybe I'll enhance this someday when I'm really bored" section).

Yeah, this war is a bit of joke, I mean, it starts the day after Christmas. Hell, that's the day everyone goes to visit in-laws and cousins/aunts/uncles and what not(or at least, that's how it was in my family growing up). I've already given my guild(thankfully, we are only top 75 or so, and we do NOT gem, so there isn't a lot of pressure anyways) notice that I probably won't be on until Saturday. It's the freaking Holidays Gree. Not HoliDAY, HoliDAYS, who wants to spend them playing some game on a tablet/phone, obsessing over a new crappy armor?

I will say this in regards to wars, and the new epic:

It is getting old, even as a p2w player for the duration of the game, it is starting to wear thin. Three wars this close to each other, it gets old, but I was aware that this would happen going in, and I can only assume that the wars will continue to get closer and closer together, until they are practically on top of each other weekly, much like the weekly Boss and Weekly Arenas. This is the first game where I enjoyed playing, and paying to win, or win more than others. Other similar games I joined too far into the life cycle that it was near impossible to get into the top tier of players. This game was fun. Key word was.

Much like others said, the Arena isn't new. They just reworked the rewards to a tier system, which I can only imagine will eventually hit the Guild Wars, for personal points, and Guild points/Wins as well. (And no Spock, not your tier system. The one I talked about. The one that is similar to the weekly boss.) Anywho... Arena isn't new, they just reworked it. The weekly boss hasn't been new in forever other than elements/skin/stats. The rewards haven't changed. The buildings in the castle haven't changed (outside of the Nests) for as long as I've been playing. The story mode hasn't changed either. We've had 1 Limited Time Quest. 1. That gave a nice little boost to people looking for something new, but since then, nada. The game is dying for something new. Guild raid bosses. Something. More and more people are getting burnt out, myself finally starting to join that group.

Even regarding the stripping. Most agree its not fun. At all. But its a necessary evil if you want to stay on top. Get the best armors, then let them sit there while you see who can pump out the most battles on a 1 knight gm or a 3 knight gm with minimal armors. Def not as fun as the first few wars where you actually paid attention to who was wearing what. That was when war was fun.

As far as the Epic reward: Rkal+ is roughly the same as the regular epic reward. So, if you can get Top 10 without spending 999 gems or more, or whatever it took to pull it out of the last chest, then go for it I'd say. Otherwise, save your money. As long as people keep spending, they'll keep pumping out armors. If they have a bronze, they can easily make silver, gold, black, rainbow, 4 more epic war armors right there, and they have to program very little. They can do whatever colors they want, just like they've done with the Legendary Kal armors.... And as long as the stats keep going up, there will be someone who always wants one, and is willing to pay.

Game isn't dead, but man, is it killing some players.

Heh, yeah I was trying to make it clear that I wasn't just referring to Christmas, but the Holidays in general. Obviously not everyone celebrates Christmas(I'm American, but not(generally anyways, i do have my faults) one of the ones who are ignorant of the rest of the world), but the final two weeks of December are generally Celebrated in form or another by a large portion of the world, usually(but not entirely limited to) by spending large amounts of time with family, both immediate and extended. I personally just find Grees timing to be in fairly poor taste as it's saying "Hey, come play this game for a cool reward when you should be with your families".

In your case, I'm sorry to hear that you will be attending a funeral. A funeral is bad at any time of the year, but especially hard during the holidays(I have personal experience with this myself, as my Grandmother, whom I was extremely close to, died one week before Christmas in 2006. Makes celebrating Christmas a harder thing to do, even this amount of time later). I hope you will accept my condolences, and I hope that you(and your friend, obviously) will have the strength to move on and be happy.

I dont celebrate christmas, birthdays or any other holiday for that matter.

I dont see any problem with the timing of this war. It fits Gree's typical war timing. If you cant participate in wars because you choose to spend your time with your family - Then its not the war thats the problem. You just dont have time for it.

They don't listen to their players until some big players like Eunuchorn or people in RR got fed up and make a thread saying I'm fking quitting unless you do something. Or even better, stop paying for the GW#1 spot for a couple GWs. When the revenue takes a dip, the analytic guys will need to explain the reason why there is a huge drop in revenue. THEN they will communicate with the developers to try to come up with plans to PLEASE the rest of us.

As of right now, they don't give a sh it because they are making 5m a month.

The rewards are not at all that great.. Some other k-scope armors would be nice.. But who cares, the people getting this armor don't need it anyways , since their ALLWAYS TOP 10..
