New Android update

I see there is a new update our there for android. 3.9.2. The description says it's necessary to upgrade in order to do the new raid boss event. Is it safe to download? I normally have good luck with the updates, but would hate for this time to be different.

I'm on android 4.2.2 and have not experienced any issues with game loading or trigerring current boss. Just for sharing.

the new update for droid has caused my game to be unable to load any maps except for the first map. The funny part is my other account on the same device it loads all the maps no problem. I also tried everything posted in the help section or other posts.
