I made a tool for Modern War players to educate themselves PRIOR to diving into an LTQ event blindly.

This tool will help you figure out how hard your wallet will be hit - hope it helps!

http://www.powerbang.info/LTQ

PS: I recommend grabbing the total energy required for a given LTQ from one of SGT Rud's threads.

Enjoy!

Changelog:

Dec. 12 2013

- Added Maximum Energy field

- Tool now accounts for players under 1000 total energy

- Rounding errors have been corrected and should now display gold amounts properly

- Total energy "naturally" regenerated prior to the end of an event is now displayed. This way you can gauge your potential progress into an event.

- If your nation is NOT Iran, the Tool will display how much additional energy you could gain if you switched nations to Iran

- Other various bug fixes

Nice PB
I've got that in Excel but this looks smooth.
A thing to add is how many level ups you expect and what your max energy bar is.
Also make a round up on gold for 20 gold per 1000 energy.

I thought the same thing Dansgek on the rounding up. Ran out of time for tonight. I've had something similar in Excel for a while but felt like making it more available for others.

Thank you for the constructive criticism... I will make improvements to it soon, I'm sure.

Nice appearance. I do like it. And your a good buddy of mine, so I wont hold back.

1.) This type of calculator has already been presented in the Commander Tool put out several months ago. Though it doesn't look as fancy. Which informs me that lots of people really haven't investigated the commander tool past the boss health tracker. Also informs me I should present a new thread better labeling whats in the commanders tool.
http://www.funzio.com/forum/showthread.php?70660-New-Commander-Tool

2 (http://www.funzio.com/forum/showthread.php?70660-New-Commander-Tool).) Your calculations do not include an estimated total of gold required for individuals still under 1000 energy cap. If those people used your calc, it would tell them they need less gold than needed.

3.) Gold refills are purchased in values of 20 and you need to round up. My tests I put in to this calc, estimate my refills at 28 = 556 gold, when in fact it would require 580.

Judging by the times you posted this thread, and you groupme replys, I assume your sleeping. When you wake up, check you PMs.

Hey Rud thanks for the feedback. Yeah I caught the rounding, ran out of time to fix that last night. I'll get that changed soon enough.

I hadn't thought about folks with less than 1000 total energy... then again, they don't seem like likely candidates to be finishing LTQs. I can make that addition though as well!

Regarding your commander tool, it's great and we all appreciate the work you put in.

my LLP has 750 energy
It would be nice if you fix it for low energy players

I will be adding a couple new features when I have time... your suggestion being one of them. Another thing I plan to add is how far your energy regen and initial energy will take you in an event for free.

But thank you very much for the effort!

I think this calculation may have an error:

Start Energy: 2246
Total Required: 35500
Regen: 6
Hours left: 45
Nation: Russia

Energy Defecit 17054
# Gold Refills 17
Total Gold Required 341

340 seems like it would be the correct answer. I suspect the equation should just multiple an integer of 20 * an integer of the "# of Gold Refills". However, I could be wrong.

You're probably correct as I've stated i need to make modifications to the rounding. Hoping to fix tonight...

Ultimately though... 1 gold off is a pretty decent approximation and if you were in dire straights for that 1 bar... Tap Joy is always accepting video watchers :)

Thanks for the feedback.

This should be 18 gold refills because of round up and Gold required 360.

- If your nation is NOT Iran, the Tool will display how much additional energy you could gain if you switched nations to Iran (this seems like a really great idea here)

What would also be nice is a check box if you believe that you will level up in the course of the LTQ. If the check box is selected, it will subtract the amount of full energy from all the displayed totals.

additionally, I assume yours is like mine calculating that the number the player puts in is full health, and not what the player currently has. ie. if I was pre-staging and I wasn't full when the event started. You would typically only need to split the two blocks if you ran the ability to calculate a leveling up process.

Initially, having a "starting energy" field was my intention, so it captures whatever current level of energy you have. I could add both fields in, but that takes away from the simplicity. It shouldn't tooooo bad though. I will consider that.

I can add a field for level ups as well. A checkbox would work about 60% of the time. Cases where it would not would be when gree wants to introduce those 45x625 at 35xp a hit missions (never know and I'm not relying on GREE logic to build into my logic - that wouldn't be LOGICAL), and also when lower level players wish to participate, thereby making it possible to level multiple times.

THEN... if you level multiple times and place skill points earned into energy, that also tampers with the accuracy. But only slightly.

In the end here, you've given me a couple things to think about. Thank you for the feedback.
