Holiday Huntdown 24hr event

Does anyone know if this event is a LTQ using the Agent NPCs?

I just found this post, but haven't confirmed it yet.
I was assuming the Agent NPCs where for the 24 LTQ on the 21st.

It is a guess since they came out right after the start of the current LTQ.

Hopefully is not a gamble again! the 24hr event is one of my favorite and hate to give up on it,
do to it been nothing more than gambling your luck to receive a unit on each kill...

I was assuming the next event would be a PVP event or boss battle,
but it could be a FLTQ using the new targets.

Trying to read the tea leaves and decide whether to start pre-staging final 35,500 target.

looking at the total energy needed (53.158 energy) and time to pre=stage the units, (while most people are still playing the Cold Front LTQ).. It seems Logical it is for the next LTQ on 12-13. Holiday Huntdown

if it would be for 12-21.. Gree would give us lot's of time to pre-stage and they won't have us spending gold again to finish , and that is not really Gree's thing :-)

just hoping it will contain a FLTQ to, would be nice. but if not, I'm sure to finish individual. Also, I going for the INFANTRY MEDALS you need to play.

The number of medals in each event:

Cold Front 4
Holiday Huntdown 4
Base Capture 18
Emperor Crate Event 4
Limited Time Mission 4
General Frost 10
Operation Holidays 4
Conquering Cuba 22

To get the top prize, a player needs to collect ALL the medals. For the Conquering Cuba event, all medals are given through GLTQs and LTQs, NOT the leaderboard.

Just know if they remove them you can't blame Gree, they have warned us before.

it will be the same as last time, loot drops from targets. they all have the loot symbol, we just don't know how it's going to pan out ie. FLTQ or LTQ or both, or how many drops are required from each target, they fecked up last time, giving the 10/10 prize to anyone that finished 9/10, notting extra for those that spent gold finishing 10/10, maybe CJ cs. post some info on the event starting 2morrow, it looks like he is the only one helping us, thanks for that CJ.

If this would be the event it could also be that you have to kill multiple times. So we don't know yet, but spending gold will be required anyways to finish.

I hope this is the LTQ/ FLTQ without extra kills or loot drops (or at least not the big npc).

I have posted my normal NPC guide with these posted. They could be used for anything, including a 24hr LTQ, or they could be permanent NPCs, we dont know, and can only speculate.

However I would like to point this out -

Holiday Huntdown - 12.13-12.14
Limited Time Mission - 12.21-12.22
Holiday Huntdown - 12.21-12.22

Looks like the WD screen is tracking on 3x 24hr events. Those NPCs could be used for any of these, or a combination of these.

The CFC's are for the current individual that is running right now. Everyone seems to be prestaging the agents and yes there is a big one in mountain pass (355 energy x 100 hits). Who knows what is going on in the next event

prestageing is nearly obsolete anymore..ya u can do it and get 1 kill but the way they been setting it up its a gamble on what to prestage..im just gonna wait it out..not like im gonna get all the medals anyways..gl to all that do

pre-staging is a BIG gamble. I pre-staged about 15 NPC's for the cold front mission and they are all hits on prestige levels 14-20 so I took my 3 medals for getting to prestige 10/20 and stopped and I've started pre-staging the agents...currently on Emir Island Agent. I hope they re-use the CFC NPC's for another event and I might get lucky.

I think prestaging new NPCs is much safer than old ones. I suspect the CFCs will disappear when Cold Front ends. Plus it is a lot easier to conceive of how all the Agents will get played, vs the numerous CFCs.

I realize it is winter, but I think Gree is thematically challenged here. It is probably 80ish in Cuba? Or maybe they are running short on new drug lord, contraband or tropical themes?

I think you're missing the units we also get with the infantry medals... I also got a recon spetsnaz (inf) for completing level 2 of holiday huntdown. maybe someone else can confirm if they're also getting this?

That prize is not directly linked to the Holiday Huntdown event. It is for obtaining a certain number of medals in the warpath to cuba goal.

Not if you are dropping a ton of gold to complete it. Just my oppinion though. Luckily I had every agent prestaged and finished this event in 10 mins without a drop of gold used

It's not a gamble if you pay attention to the list of NPC. It was pretty obvious which NPCs were beginning, normal, and prestige so you should have pre-staged in order. If you missed a few, that's just a mistake, not a gamble.
As a faction we pre-staged the big targets on the later maps. As it turned out, these were NPC's that were too high. So yeah, it is a gamble!

Hey Mods, please close this thread cos the event ended prematurely. Also please refund all your customers that spent gold and reward all the units to those that attempted the LTQ.

I want to see what reasons you guys are gonna come up with this time to deny all the above demands.

Usually when the new mission starts something is downloaded to view players of that mission.But in Haunt Down my game takes me to shipyard and it tells to attack Agent Winters.There is no such type of player moving around in shipyard pls help cant do this

that sucks. I think you have to be a certain level. if they dont make it avail to lower levels...they should at least do a "beginners" LTE like they did for last event
