View Full Version : Well Done GREE, Another One Bites The Dust

Today I am pissed at GREE. Pissed to the point of fury.
One of my long-term Guild members has quit because of GREE Support’s arrogance, ineptitude and total lack of respect for their customers.
She has sold up all her buildings, given us her gold and departed. You could feel the frustration in the short message she left in Guild Chat before leaving.
I have 2 of my Guild member on suicide watch, and another on hunger-strike (although he is over 300lb so I wont be calling the paramedics just yet).
Why am I so angry? Because she was one of the ‘originals’, joining within a week or two of the Guild forming back in February. And although she previously sold up and took an 8-week sabbatical from KA, for reasons known to herself, when she returned it was to my door she came first and spent many hours building up her Kingdom from scratch.
The sad thing is, whatever fix or compensation GREE offer I know she won't return a 2nd time, and we will not fight Guilds or Raid Bosses side-by-side again.
I personally have always been a free player in KA, but I was toying with the idea of gemming-up just for Wartime. But I will be damned if I put a penny into GREE’s KA pocket.
Nail-by-nail the coffin is being closed and one day these games will mean nothing to nobody (quality grammar there kids) and we can all get on living GREE-free.
So, thank you Petra Eveningstar, its been an honour and a pleasure to have had you on my team.
Goodbye and good luck.

Sad to see her go, I used to be in your guild :)
I believe I am leaving myself - just now lost half my stats because I reinstalled
I have read enough on the forum about this happening and know it won't get fixed.
I am completely rooted
Won't bother with a ticket

It is pretty obvious that the KA player base has gone into serious decline. Gree is reaping what it has sown, and it is a long time coming. Check any IAP tracker online: KA revenue has been steadily declining for weeks.

Our guild original founder (I am current leader) is about to leave after multiple tickets sent about game crashing after every war attack. And also on every level of the LTQ.
Add to that the fact that this war round we have only had 3 fair fights since the wars started (avalanche of splinters), he simply feels that the time he has put into the game counts for absolutely nothing. I think that being ignored by Gree on such a fundamental issue as the actual function of the game has been the last straw. He has been sending tickets for some time.....every quest brings with it a new type of crash.
And I have to agree with him. On a personal level, war used to be fun. Now it's a grind. I'm hanging in there, but I can feel my time getting short.

OK, sorry if this sounds insensitive, but am I supposed to sympathize with someone who has always played the game for free? Gem spenders who dont get what they pay for, I get that, totally justified in complaining. But free players? I dont get it. You are getting what you paid for. Gree owes you nothing.

While it does sound insensitive to me, I respect your entitlement to express your personal views and the way you feel or don't feel.
The author of the initiating post was expressing lament for a long term player in his guild that he has lost. Just like you might. He believes he lost her because of the way she was treated by Gree customer support. That's what makes him angry.
I don't know where you drew the conclusion, she was a free player. It's quite irrelevant to the thrust of the post and irrelevant to the issue.
I don't see anywhere that he is asking Gree to owe him anything at all.
From what I have read of his posts he seems like he has a great happy group of friends in his guild, so I understand his lamenting. I hope they have success and this doesn't damage their group too much.
I am certain you have mis-read his post and perhaps at a bad time, because I am certain you are better than the response reads.

Maybe I am, maybe I am not. It's not for me to say.
I feel bad for anybody that spends real money in this game and gets treated poorly. Even though there is ample evidence all around that that will likely happen, still, it is incumbent upon Gree to provide product as advertised. I think everyone is in agreement there.
What is not Gree's responsibility is to provide the game for free, and the forum for free, so people can come on here to complain about it. I see a ton of free players on here complaining to high heavan that they didn't get good "customer service". Well, if you are a free player, you are not a customer, you are a freeloader. I guess I get a little riled up when I see a freeloader complaining about the charity that they are receiving. It just rubs me the wrong way, fair or not. Don't go to the soup line and ***** that they don't have chicken noodle today.
That's my piece.
I like your handle, by the way.

Let's be honest here, the only reason the forum is here is because funzio created it. The only reason it's not shut down is because it's already bought, well established, and paid for and if they did shut it down we'd just create a third party site that they wouldn't be able to moderate and control the content on the site.
