Yes, it started. It's called Balkan Blitz. It's a hybrid of a few earlier events. For peraonsl there is a Beginner thread and a standard. There are also Beginner and standard faction threads. I suspect that the Faction thread goals will match up with higher-level personal goals.

The thing I don't like about this is it's the type where you have to beat a unit x many times instead of just once. In the past, on both of my Android devices, it wouldn't always register each time I beat a boss and I missed out on awards. Hopefully this bug has been fixed.
