Connection and Battle Problems - Resolved

Hi everyone,

Sorry about the problems with the start of this war. We're still investigating to see what happened, but the issues everyone has been experiencing should be resolved now.

New wars are starting correctly as far as we can tell - wars started in the first hour are likely a wash with no one being able to attack/be attacked.

The android crashes were linked to this and we're showing that everyone 'should' be able to get back into the game again.

Nobody can attack in the first war...except sup who are already in the millions..

Try this though..mw is working for my entire faction now:

1) go to "settings" in main phone
2) tap "applications"
3) then on "manage apps"
4) click on the "modern war" button
5) clear cache
6) clear data
7) return to home, then restart mw
8) you should get in, then recieve new dataset
9) tap "yes" and restart app

if this doesnt work, try reinstalling
if that doesnt work, contact support
if that doesnt work, apologise to your faction..and enjoy the weekend

Our android team is still investigating these reports - from the logs it looks like logins are back to a normal level but we're taking some of the reports and checking those accounts specifically to reproduce.

This bloody sucks..I started at the beginning of the battle..triggered first war..1 hr later I still couldnt fight..found upgrade..that worked for 30 mins while I beat a faction..been locked out on a Unknown error since..thats on android..bluestacks on pc and samsung tablet...what a waste of f......g time..really gree spend less time making a new and frankly childish intro picture and get your programming sorted

And once again, we are here on this forum berating GREE for their apparent ineptitude and inability to do anything right.

Might I suggest one of the following solutions to my fellow gamers:

1. As tough as this will be, walk away, the time has come! Go for a walk or a bike ride. Take your kids to the park. Spend some proper time with the wife, girlfriend, fiancé (or husband, boyfriend, fiancé......all equal ops here, lol)
2. If like me, the idea of quitting the game is simply too difficult, then do the next best thing.......if you ever get back in to the game that is. Kick GREE right in the nuts and refuse to buy gold. I have another IOS profile which will be steadfastly scoring minimal WD points this weekend, because gold is now out of the window.

GREE have engineered a situation whereby we are mindless slaves (first step, admit you have a problem!). If money and revenue is all they understand, we need to help remind them that the gamers MADE their company successful not the other way round.

As the Bravehearts of Scotland might say "Freedom...." Lol

We discovered a different problem with android - a google play update is being released now to handle that and it should be available very shortly.

3/4 of my faction can't log in either so we are screwed once again. They were able to log in for about 30 minutes and then back to nothing. This is great!!

I think this is a ploy to get people to spend major money so they have to attempt 50 wars in like 5 hours.

For the first time i succeeded to enter the game after few hours, than we had a war , and everything was OK.


Now i had problems entering again. i tried everything , clear the cache , the data , nothing worked.

At the end i tried to re-install the game (after i cleared cache and data), and walla, i can enter the game !!!!!

I smell a male cow running around defecating. We were locked out. So were many others. But EVERYONE was not. The leaderboards were running.

Please, just please, stop telling bold lies. You're trying to cover up for your company's dev team. By lying you just make yourself look bad.

The update that "fixed" the WD issues has broke the game for me. Ever since receiving that update I cannot get past the daily rewards screen without the game force closing. This has not happened before. I have now been trying to open the app for over the past 4 hours.
