View Full Version : An idea that will change the game in a positive way

Imagine the wheel they use on a game show such as the one on the Wheel of Fortune. Except this wheel has, gold, units from past events, valor, and cash.

Each spin should cost the same as a scratcher (30 gold) and players should get one free spin a day.

The wheel should have common prizes in big slots, uncommon in medium slots, rare in small slots, and super rare in tiny slots.

Here are some examples of prizes:
Common: scratch card, 5 gold, 100,000$, Artic operative A:147 D:102
Uncommon: 80 concrete, 15 gold, $1,000,000,Lone Star tank Attack:333 defense: 267
Rare: any past le building , 30 gold, 10,000,000$, Grand Devastator attack 3700 defense 2800
Super rare: +20 energy regen, 1000 gold,100,000,000$, wraith nuclear sub attack:67000 defense:50,000

These are all examples of the kinds of prizes I would use, and the unit prizes should be changed weekly.

The chance of getting a common spin should be 65%
Uncommon should be 30%
Rare should be 4%
Super rare should be 1%

Players should only be able to buy 15 spins for every 24 hour period, so after 24 hours your spins you can do reset to 15 for that time period.

If you do not like your prize you may discard it and it will go to a lucky random player somewhere in MW.

Anyway that is my idea, constructive criticism, ideas, opinions, and compliments are welcome.

Put another 2 zeros on the valor prizes...

Skip the valor prize altogether. You want to win something you can use

This sounds like a great idea. I think the rare and super rare percentage rates should be even smaller, or the spins should cost more gold, though.

Yes! Love this idea!
Much better than giving everyone the same unit every day.
I hope some dev brings this up in the next "how can we make or break this game?" meeting

Maybe instead of the daily rewards... I like the concept, the numbers and prizes need a little tweaking though. GREEd will probably overshoot this idea and hit "log on for a free 100k unit and have it taken away mid-war" oh wait they already did :). Best of luck getting GREE to listen to this, they need to!

Well it would make them a ton of money and players happy so I don't see why they wouldn't.

The irony is we've told them what we'd pay for and they just do whatever. The players actually have enough ideas to create a brand new, better Modern War. Any programmers :)?

Any more gambling elements added into MW and this game will turn into a casino.

I mean I'm all for getting a free LT building from a scratcher/wheel, but I think it should be you have the option to buy one not get it for free

not a bad idea at all, but then it should be a limited building that U dont have, cause U cant construct 3 same type money buildings

Gree want constant daily gamers because there's a higher chance they will get hooked and start the gold spend splurge. Hence the daily escalating rewards. So why not combine the two. This wheel is a brilliant idea (or maybe a slot machine with payouts), much better than simple rewards for everyone, so have it so that the odds of winning a better prize increase for consecutive daily logons? There is no reason why they couldn't program that into the wheel - it's just a simple probability multiplier applied to the higher order prizes that increases with daily logins. I'd play that game for sure.

Make the vault automatically save your cash to the maximum limit. I was just on a raiding run. While i was raiding, a million of the raided funds got raided from me. It sucks to have to raid and then protect after every raided item.

Does throwing it into a trashcan count as passing it on?

Do you know what happens normally when you pass feedback on? You get a response.

A 1% chance to win 1000 gold or a 67k unit?

In your dreams.

Just judging by all the responses to this thread gives an idea of how addictive this feature can be. Gambling features aren't something that can be added into a game without regulation. Something like a wheel of fortune would probably be illegal to implement.

Don't like it. There should be some skill involved in this game. 99% of the playerbase completely lacks it. Their fault. If you want to pay money to "be good" at this game, you're still not necessarily good. You just pay money and (probably) have high stats.

Random events where anyone can gain some uber stats just by the flip of a coin (whether it's a free flip or not) completely take away from the skill issue.

I think the box events are the only random-chance events they should offer. And those prizes are not huge, even with the bonuses and they shouldn't be huge.

My vote: No. Keep the game as skill-based as possible. My faction does not contain the highest stat players by any means. But I guarantee that we are one of the most innovative factions in the entire game. That's why we manage to complete almost every faction event, no matter how difficult. And with very little gold used. Teamwork, communication, coordination ... that's what it should be about. Not the flip of a coin.

And this applies to how you play your own account as well. Do the best stat-to-XP ratio events. And ignore the rest. Thief has been posting this forever. But I've been doing it since well before he started posting it. Why? I understand the game. But only after learning the hard way up through level 80 or so, and then realizing "I'm doing this wrong!" and "Hey!! There are forums for this game!!". Since then my stat-to-level ratio has gone from about 40:1 to 10,000:1. With only a little bit of gold used during wars.

skill?? in here?? Here is only gold pwnings. Skill doesnt give U 50 wins streak, U need gold for that (especially now with new matchups with 10x stronger teams). It hasnt been a skill game over a 10 months that I've played it, maybe it was before. Here is money-money-money skills needed. The more the moneyzz the stronger U are. Simple as that. Communicating faction too, but usually gold players go to them. I'm in pretty good communicating faction too, but we dont have enough rich ppl so this events prestige will not be completed by us, takes too much money.

In light of what we have seen I suggest no spending until gree makes this a level playing field for all. Not saying boycott. Play the game. Just everyone play as free players until there are answers.

Well, I'm out. Good luck with any ideas to improve this game. I have been banned forever for daring to ask the moderators to give details on how they tackle reports of hackers. No explanation, just banned. So I'm voting what I think of gree with my feet, they won't see another penny from me.

sad to see they are still doing that, although I tried to warn ya :(
