So here is my opinion.
I think you should be able to invite people to your guild that are already in a guild. Why? Because when you level up, sometimes you will get an extra slot. And it is really hard to get someone in your guild, because everyone is already in one. Now if everyone was active on this forum, especially in the Guild Recruitment section, I would be OK with it. But since most of them aren't, it is really hard to get new members.
I posted a thread in the Guild Recruitment section, and I noticed it gets very few views compared to this section. Thus, it is very hard to get new members in this way also.
So I think that you should be able to invite members in other guilds. However, for those who definitely do not want to change guilds and are strong (for instance, those in Majestic, DK, Legends, or Forsaken) who will be getting tons of requests, there is the abilitiy to block such requests.
Thoughts?

A good idea as long as it can be turned off. I personally do not wish to receive invites, but I would support the option to do so

So you dont respect the third place finishers in the war enough to even mention us. Kinda of surprised at you, and since we have talked and know each other, even more surprising coming from you this lack of respect in public.

Um.... does it matter? I thought of it, and I had it in there for a second, but I decided to go with only 3. I'll add you in there anyways but sorry... Didn't realize it would be a big deal.

Wow. I'm pretty sure he just mentioned a few guilds to get the point across. You need to relax.

Before some more people jump me...its because I know this guy.
We considered them a sister guild.
I recruit and in the last 24 hours have mentioned to quite a few applicants they might want to look at Melee.
When this GM wanted to hit level 43 on the boss I added him as a friend and he wanted more of my friends in Legends to help them..so we did and he hit 43.
We sent one of our own to this guild and I again talked to this GM and made it happen.
I could go on ...but its because this was what we considered a sister guild and from someone I thought was a personal friend.
My point was not to get public affirmation ..ya'all can assume whatever you want. I think you should not mention any guilds or list them ..my mom always taught me comparisons are odious. Dont list any or single them out was what I was thinking.
I chat with a lot of other guilds and we all get along and help each other out. Even the lowest ranked guild doesnt want to be left out. I'm sorry if I am not finding the right words to say ..dont compare or make lists, period.
Like saying you have a favorite kid if you have two kids. etc. I dont know how else to say it. Im sorry that so many think its about public affirmation and that crud.

I think this is a good idea. You'd get a wider variety of players and I could even see some "Survivor" type scenarios playing out. Plus, it gives options to folks who play a lot, but might be in a guild with minimal participants. The "Block" idea would have to be mandatory though.

So this is an interesting idea, but I can see how it can also make a lot of people unhappy.... Already there are guilds that are angry at other guilds for stealing their cream of the crop. Imagine if it was even easier for some of these guilds to steal other guilds' top players.

Most of the guilds complaining about that were people leeching rewards off of one to five spenders.
